I just take a sneak peak join now and then, to be honest im not even very good at flying, this guy had over 300 ping and was lagging (i thought it was 31 first).

Dunno why but seems they butchered the Corsair in bf42, its "back heavy" like the weight center is totally wrong. You must have a good internet connection or else its like flying a bathtub.

They are quite stupid, if you go to far from them they stop seeing you, if you jump over a sandbagwall most of them stops on the other side and a few will try to get around. This even with bots ai on hardest settings.

I made "knifebot" server if you want to try it out, its not a finished mod so no real gameplay other than a bunch of angry bots chasing you with knifes.

servername is Knifebots and map is bocage, you dont need to download anything to join it.

i kinda run out of ideas on this "concept" thats why it never got finished, so im open for suggestions.

There is a "wind" code already in the game, i´ve played around with it a bit but couldnt see any reasonable implementations at that time, problem is that its a fixed value thing and there is no easy way to make it random.  There is a cloud system also ressurected by Apache thunder (great modder) and snow and rain i´ve seen also but i dont know if that also may be a static setting.

Soldierspawns could be somewhat randomized rather easily in a wide varity of ways, such as parachute spawn, also one can build a "team" leader kit like in bf2 (spawn on teamleader)

I managed to find the solution, i dont know if its the same for all Linux dist but in the one im running (Centos 6) seems they have updated the speedstep function code, a bit sneaky for the old programs and/or settings seems to work but it really doesnt, even if when i disabled speedstep in bios.

anyway the code that worked for me in this case

This is an interesting one and I am wondering if it can be achieved server side as the carriers already have AA guns fitted, I cant at the moment see why it shouldn't be possible.
Think I might have a play with this smile

You can check out my solution with the 50cal here if you like 37.187.19.136:14567 dont bother with carrier aa-guns it will just crash the server, you can add "standard" aa-guns with the holdobject command instead, it looks a bit ugly when the boat sinks but it it works.

Okay so i gave it a quick shot and had no luck, i will try some ideas when i get my thumb out but in the meantime ill show you the problem and maybe someone can figure out a solution.

The problem is that flaps and wings is controlled by one set of settings, but then you have the camera and its controlled by a different set of settings

Alright, mouse control for flaps and wings

ControlMap.addAxisToAxisMapping c_PIPitch IDFMouse IDAxis_1 0
ControlMap.addAxisToAxisMapping c_PIPitch IDFMouse IDAxis_2 0 1
ControlMap.addAxisToAxisMapping c_PIRoll IDFMouse IDAxis_0 0

game.setAirMouseInvert 1 <------- this affect only the settings above

And then we have the controls that affect the camera

 ControlMap.addAxisToAxisMapping c_PIMouseLookX IDFMouse IDAxis_0 0
ControlMap.addAxisToAxisMapping c_PIMouseLookY IDFMouse IDAxis_1 0

code piece from plane to show how the input is hooked up

rem *** ZeroFlapTailLeft ***
ObjectTemplate.create Wing ZeroFlapTailLeft
ObjectTemplate.setInputToPitch c_PIPitch

rem *** ZeroCamera ***
ObjectTemplate.create Camera ZeroCamera
ObjectTemplate.setInputToYaw c_PIMouseLookX
ObjectTemplate.setInputToPitch c_PIMouseLookY

I tried hook up the camera to the same input as the wings but didnt work, fibbled around some with the _2 0 1 figures but that just made it worse smile

Is it possible to add a command which will enable mouse invert only when L .shift is pressed? This might solve the bug!

Something like this:

ControlMap.addKeyToTriggerMapping c_PIMouseLook IDFKeyboard IDKey_LeftShift c_CMPushAndHold
ControlMap.addKeyToTriggerMapping c_PIgame.setAirMouseInvert 1 IDFKeyboard IDKey_LeftShift c_CMPushAndHold

????

Somehow these commands just add only permanent horizontal inversion. Shit this isn't as easy as I thought big_smile

I found whats causing your problem, its not a bug per se but more a "no option" in the code thing. I belive i can help you but i need to do some testing first.

First, with windows 7, if you writeprotect a .con file like you did in the video the game might place the config file in your documents folder instead. If this is the case then you can do what ever you want but that file will always have higher priority.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVQjszugKGI

Second, when in game open your console and type hud 0 then close the console and test how the controls react.

Who ''they''? And which calculations are those that support the so called ''god's'' existence?? That would be a funny thing indeed.

Well i dont remember everything i read to the letter but something like the chance to form a universe that like ours that can support life something something is like one in a zillion. If you change one tiny bit something something it wouldnt work. With that in mind it does point more in favour for someone or something that may have put things in the right order.

Soo to counter the propabillity for this, we can make up a theory of infinity universe or paralell universes witch would mean the statisics would change for the chance to a universe like ours to just randomly happen. (this not proven yet lol)

Im sure there is lot of interesting info if you google around a bit on the subject.

Ill tell you one thing i think is funny thing with science, everytime they calculate and weigh in all known things in the question if god exist or not, it always ends in favor that god does indeed exist.

So if god is not born on earth as it didnt exist (supposedly) then, doesnt that make him the nr1 grand alien of all times? wink

you can try check the mouse invertion, then go to plane control settings and swap place in the up/down for the mouse settings. save and try.

Yeah but it depends on the mouse to, mine can get kinda yerky if i just run it on the table/desk.

Ok thanks! I'll buy one soon!

You may not need one if you havent had any problems with it so to speak, i mean i need one but its mostly like if you are playing and you miss that last (but crucial) shot because your mouse couldnt read the surface movement or jerked a bit beacuse there was some fluppity in your desk kinda thing.

I have a red one made in china, once i thought it looked dirty so i washed it and then the "top" layer come loose so i stretched it and superglued it in the corners. its still a bit floppy at the left side but it works ok.
