Re: Mouse Pad

Gotta love a blonde Golden!
I think you should rotate it 90 degrees and improve my chances of killing you in game.

Slighty less friction than using my desk:

But really doesn't make a huge difference. Rock on with your puppy mouse pad. I'm kind of shocked I'm not seeing this:

The one with the penguin is my backup mouse. Would not recommend for gaming:

Re: Mouse Pad

If you buy a ratpad for $25...after you get it you will wonder why you ever spent more on less.

* When I toured gamespy before they shut down out here...all of their lan computers had the ratpadz on each station.  All the pro gamers there swore by them.
I immediately ordered one when I got home...to me...nothing even comes close to the feel, cost and longevity of a ratpad.  You get spoiled real quick.

Anything but the penguin. I'm starting to think though that there might be a market for exotic gear for gamers. If they can sell magic cables and gear to audiophiles, why not gamers?

You may not need one if you havent had any problems with it so to speak, i mean i need one but its mostly like if you are playing and you miss that last (but crucial) shot because your mouse couldnt read the surface movement or jerked a bit beacuse there was some fluppity in your desk kinda thing.

I have a red one made in china, once i thought it looked dirty so i washed it and then the "top" layer come loose so i stretched it and superglued it in the corners. its still a bit floppy at the left side but it works ok.

Re: Mouse Pad

...

The best Pad is QCK+ and it's cheap too. I play since years with the same one.

Best Gaming mouses are those with Optical Gaming Sensors, Laser is out in my opinion. No one needs 10000DPI in a game, only to troll around or dance in the tanks MGPosition.

ADNS 3090 Sensors or followers of this one and Pixar Sensors are the best for Gaming mouses.

Here a list of sensors

http://www.pro-gamer-gear.de/maus-sensor/

(Besides. Those Sensors have no negativ or positiv prediction, and they run much smoother then any laser based mouse. But, anyway you have to use Marc Mouse Fix to stop Windows own acclerations.

http://donewmouseaccel.blogspot.ch/2010 … n-fix.html

Inside is also a Mouse Movement Recorder to control if your mouse is moving 1:1 and if Windows own acclerations, (there are two) are disabled.

MouseMovementRecorder.jpg

If it looks like this, your mouse makes allways the same way on the screen. It doesn't matter if you move your mouse 20cm slow or very fast from left to right.

...

And besides... this is also a good choice. Set a framelock in your graficdriver. A frame lock must be set allways + 1Hz or - 1Hz from your Screen Hz. The framelock can be in the case of a 60Hz monitor 61 or 59 or a multiple of it +/-1. 121, 181, 241, but, never higher then your ingame minimal fps.

If you set a frame lock, you can deactivate Vsync and with no vsync you have no Input lag due your mouse.

http://theturtletubes.de/techniktipps/fps-hz/

To set a framelock, you can use nVidia Profile Inspector. But, remember, never set a higher framelock, then your minimal FPS in a game. This solution also safes money. To play with 180 fps on a 60Hz LCD is useless and brings only tearing.

On new gaming monitors, playing with 144Hz and ULMB is the best feeling, but you need a machine, that brings allways 144Hz in every game.

For those games where your machine can't hold this constant FPS, you can use Gsync for Nvidia or Freesync for AMD Cards.

The best IPS 144Hz monitor with Freesync (for AMD) is a EIZO, but it costs 1000 Euro, http://www.prad.de/new/monitore/test/20 … #Bewertung. But there are also some others which are cheeper.

Besides, i still play with CRT, because i don't want to play with motion blur or input lag or tearing.

UfoInvasion.jpg

http://www.testufo.com/#test=framerates

This one is the right link > http://www.testufo.com/#height=-1&test= … &pursuit=0

But there are more other tests to choose.

...

Remember. IE10+ are framelocked to 60Hz. Instead use Chrome or Firefox if you have a screen which delievers more then 60Hz

...

I forgot. If you set a framelock, set it in the right GameProfile in "Nvidia Profile Inspector". All Games are listed. Don't change Default Profile.

http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/nvi … nload.html

http://www.pic-upload.de/gal-953950/fsuwws/1.html

And don't forget. With activated FrameLock, try to play with Vsync off, so you have no mouse InputLag.

...
