Gothic Line is from SW. Most RTR maps are subpar compared to SW maps.

What you are saying is that server owners might be able to transfer files to the client.
Even the master server is not capable of this!
Then I guess we'll have to give you another 1000 euro for you to figure it out

And yes; a player will need to download this 'update' to be able to use it.
Would there be any possibility down the line that clients wouldn't need to download the patch at all? Like the entire server-to-client download process would be handled entirely by the server/BFA. Can you explain that part more please. Thanks.

Battlefield 1942 has been around for 20 years now.
And in these 2 decades the game has seen many custom mods and maps.We all know the annoying message: "MAP NOT FOUND"
I (Arkyliën / henk) would love to create an update for BF1942 that will let BF1942 download the map/mod automatically.

I already have a database of 1000+ bf1942 maps and all popular mods.
I also have the knowledge to make this update.BUT I sadly don’t have the time.
Since I'm so passionate to make this update for the community I see only one solution:
Are you willing to support me financially?
I expect to need 1000 euros for a very basic version (v1.0)

This is a great initiative. I am willing to donate but I would like to have a better idea of what the timeline will be once you receive sufficient funding to do so.
How long do you think it will take you to release a fully functional product and can you send some sort of timeline to release the minimum viable product (v1.0) please? Also, will you be working alone or need other people to at least test the product once it is released?
As I understand, the client will need to download a BF1942.exe patch that contains the automatic downloader, correct?
Note: If 50 people donate 20 euros, we can reach the goal of 1000 euros.

Hello all,
For this short CTF event, we will have the privilege of having an excellent Battlefield 2 caster commentate all the matches. His name is Gravity, and you can access his content on YouTube here and Twitch here.
I will be posting all the individual player videos and previous casts on this thread.
Yesterday was the first official match of the cup, a Semi-Final match, opposing the TR | The Rookies team to [MD] Moist Drifters. Both teams are from North America. The map of the match was set to if_snowstorm. It was a very intense match, both teams being very equal skill wise, but TR | finished on top with a 1 - 0 victory.

Into Saipan leaves all those maps as amateurs.
I tend to agree. That map is an absolute masterpiece, and I am not easily impressed by custom maps. Very immersive, great object placement and texturing is on point.
I would like to host a custom event on this map, maybe a 8v8 or something. I have a server in the United States where we can play the map.

Seems the ticket values are too high for Fall of Berlin.
Also I don't understand why one player is spectating but reporting information to the others who are playing. Please explain why that is allowed.

Those two are the most cold-blooded serial kickers here, friendo, i wouldn't f*ck with them! Especially the one you called "f*cker" is a real badass. If you had insulted him/her in the game as well, then it's normal to get hurt by his/her axe.

Getting a high kill rate involves camping the spawn locations when the server is highly populated. All these players getting scores about 200 are just raping spawns. No cheating there.

This is the first time I played 1x1 infantry. I played with Haski and lost badly. Here is the video from my and his POV.
Haski spends his time doing 1v1s; on a normal day he might do like 10 of them, so 1v1s are his specialty.
