I was also just kidding, but in a way that might be typical Dutch haha. I feel sad for Modric that it seems over, he deserves more. What do you think about Germany? I think its them or Spain.

All good, in Germany we do it too. The moment with Modric was amazing. He misses the penalty and then 31 seconds later he scores a goal. I guess we can use Italy now as measurement to see how good Croatia is. lol

I think Germany will win this. They are motivated to play in their own country and the coach Nagelsmann seems competent. They have also new strong players and this time teamplay seems better too. The only problem is the keeper Neuer. He is 38 and had an accident while skiing in Winter. After around 6 month of recovery he's been playing since a few month and already did 3 huge mistakes. One mistake in CL semi final vs. Real. I have no idea why he doesn't let Ter Stegen from Barcelona play.

I think Spain or Portugal too, but rather Portugal.

England has the most expensive team on transfermarkt.com, but they have perform when it comes to the point.

Austria is secret favorite they said and who else? I think for other small teams it's too tough.

Dary, you know what's funny now that you listed all those countries? I totally forgot that up to the Euro Cup 1992 there were only 8 teams who participated, and there were only the semi-finals and the final.
It makes you lol when you think about it from today's perspective

Even funnier was that Denmark won this cup, after returning from holidays to participate. They didn’t qualify for it at all, but Yugoslavia was banned from the tournament. There is a documentary about it, a must watch!

Yes, I remember that "incident" very well Tomorrow they can take revenge for it. My predictions are: Switzerland - Italy 1-2 and Germany - Denmark 1-0.

This is what I expect. What I hope for is actually more goals and much more exciting football than The Simpsons

Totally forgot about that. I remember the 90s better. Yugoslavia got unlucky against Argentina.

Italy played awful yesterday. I just watched a bit. There was nothing, no ideas whatsoever.

Germany did not play with 13 african players out of 15. We could be playing against Senegal or Ivory Coast national team yesterday in the European Championship quarter-finals and no one would notice a difference.

I do not like Pepe, because he is a dirty vicious player, but when he plays for Portugal he gives everything, even at his old age. Btw, I was happy Ronaldo did not score any goal, because that narcissistic cry-baby, only cares about himself and his records and he is one of the most overrated players. Mbappé is also an hyped buffoon, that has lots of speed at his young age, but he is just a one trick pony. Yesterday, he got scared to go the penalty shootouts and asked to leave the field. He is a coward.

I am hoping for a revenge vs Argentina now that we won against Venezuela. Canada’s performance is historic, our goalkeeper is a wall and we have great offensive talent. Our team is young though and lacks the experience of big tournaments. I’ll be happy if Canada scores once vs Argentina, regardless of the result. We’ll see.

Canada has indeed some good players in the attack, but i don't know if they have a solid defense and you cannot win championships without a strong defense. To have any chances against Argentina, Canada must play a high-pace match, because they have a slow defense and they don't like to run a lot, that is why Argentina struggled with Mbappé in the World Cup final against France. Good luck, but i predict a Argentina vs. Uruguay final, the best teams, right now, in South America.

Turkey was a surprise to reach the quarter-finals after knocking out Austria, which was another pleasant surprise, and almost getting to the semi-finals. Turkey played poorly against Portugal, had almost no defensive coordination and could not see them qualifying from the group stage after that match. You had the home advantage in all matches and that made the difference.

Congrats to Spain. They played a master class of football throughout the whole tournament and played vs the toughest teams. Lamine Yamal has great potential too.

Congratulations to Spain. It was a good team and good games. Overall, the Euro Cup was not as exciting. And also congrats to Canada. It is no shame to lose against a team like Argentina, and also I saw that the Canadians gave it all. See you guys in 2026...
