New series that is pretty good so far!
The series is based on the true-crime memoir 'Tokyo Vice: An American Reporter on the Police Beat in Japan' by Jake Adelstein, an American from the Midwest who moved to Japan at 19 and ended up attaining a coveted position as a crime reporter for the The Yomiuri Shimbun, one of Tokyo’s largest newspapers. As such, the series follows Jake (Ansel Elgort), a plucky and confident young journalist reverent of and deferential to Japanese culture except when his superiors at the newspaper demand that he conform to industrial protocol he thinks is wrong. He begins his own sneaky side-investigation into a connection between several murders that the newspaper does not want to treat as “murders,” eventually collaborating with grizzled, world-weary cop Hiroto Katagiri (Ken Watanabe, masterful as always).
The series, which is in equal measures about journalists, police, and yakuza circling one another, is invested in the long history, and gaunt future, of such a tale. And Tokyo Vice works hard at combining the gritty, gangstery pleasures of its main (more familiar) police-procedural-meets-yakuza-crime-ring storyline with other, less-obvious, less-obsessive threads. Much of the series (the first three episodes of which have been released) is about the goings-on of the newspaper where Jake (the first Westerner to join the staff) works; focusing on his attempts at being accepted alongside his desire to follow his instincts, an impulse which renders him arrogant and even more of an outsider to those around him. https://crimereads.com/tokyo-vice-revis … ing-genre/

Mark leads a team of office workers whose memories have been surgically divided between their work and personal lives; when a mysterious colleague appears outside of work, it begins a journey to discover the truth about their jobs.

I'm on two thoughts with this one. It's surely enjoyable, but there are some things i really don't like. Such as the language switches during conversations. 7/10 for me!

Sun watching Dark Winds?
I haven't yet. I usually wait until the whole season records and then try to watch an episode or 2 each night so I don't have to wait a week lol. I see that I have 5 episodes of it recorded and the season finale records tomorrow night so I'll probably begin watching it soon. Zahn McClarnon is an incredible actor. He was great in Longmire, which is one of my favorite series.
I just finished the latest seasons of the 3 Star Treks (Discovery, Strange New Worlds, and Picard).
I'm currently watching Trigger Point. I'm a sucker for British crime drama shows lol
The first one was better but the sequel is still a fun horror flick .Enjoy!
So i saw there is some new "dragon" show goin on. Is it any good i wonder?

A few friends have said they really like it. I'll start watching it in a few weeks. I guess it was already renewed for a 2nd season.
Apparently the first episode had the most viewers for a HBO series premier of all time.. more than doubling the views of the GoT premier. The 2nd episode had even more viewers than the premier so people are definitely liking it so far!

I definitely recommend a movie that you can watch on netflix: All Quiet on the Western Front
The realities of World War 1. Positional warfare, in which the front moved several hundred meters for several years. An amazing film

Epic film. I watched the original three-hour version thirty-two years ago,
and the extended (four hours) version yesterday.
Started with the first episode today. Epic!

I recommend this movie, i've know a couple of people serving in the merchant during ww2, only 15 years old at the start. Now i can imagine why the'y never talked about ww2.

Gona watch this one on the cinema in a couple of days.
I saw Narvik, one of my favourites.
No big battles, no big shows with tons of weapons of war, just the soldiers.
"Almost" the pair of this film:
