Gametracker has been offline for a week or so now, any insight?

I never heard that. Are you possibly thinking of BFTracks? They said they would stop collecting new stats but then the whole site went down.

after a 23 day outage, tracking in gametracker.com now seemingly works again for 15.000+ servers
