Simple usa has now been down for 3½ days ... any new info?

Even if it got back up now, it would take months to recover. A shame with all its downtime this recent year.

Simple usa has now been down for 3½ days ... any new info?

Even if it got back up now, it would take months to recover. A shame with all its downtime this recent year.

There was a hardware failure in the node that was hosting the server and it had to be moved to a new node. Sadly, all data was lost, so had to set everything from scratch. Talking about bad luck, I requested an upgrade of the server, at beginning of this month, and had cancelled the previous server instance, which still contained all server files, and now some few days later this problem happens.

I hope I'll be wrong with my prediction, just as I was with aX. I tend to be a bit too pessimistic. Data loss can be terrible and many people have had to learn the hard way, including me.

Perhaps you are...we make backups regularly from lessons learned 10 years ago.

Almost ALWAYS Simple France. I found some excellent players there sometimes and the change of tactics, styles and ping difference adds some habanero to the game!

Where you guys play when S USA is down ??  Looked at Mokey upgrading and I want to play today!

Is it possible running bots in the Simple US server might have some conflict with some of the death bubbles and limited nades mods?  just curious, notice server has been crashing alot lately - might be some file conflict issues?

I'm quite sure it's not due to modding, the crashes this week are probably caused by hack attacks ... server owner likely already knows for sure and is trying to mitigate ...

The server is up and running but the "AI skills" seems to be set at 100%.
If you join you better dodge and weave because the sniping bots will kill ya. :beer:

There were no "attacks" or server crashes. The server had again some hardware problems these last days and the hosting company informed they should be fixed now.

Bad luck. These downtime problems did not happen that much until the server got migrated to a new node, as a result of an upgrade.

There were no "attacks" or server crashes. The server had again some hardware problems these last days and the hosting company informed they should be fixed now.

Sorry, my mistake then. I know there's little point in posting about simple server downtime since you'll be aware of it anyway, and it won't speed things up. I'll try to resist posting about it in the future.
