Our Christmas gifts are made in cheap-labour China.

Yes, maybe not precise enough, thought you would understand. Actually it is not only China. Many products are also produced in Bangladesh, Indonesia and Taiwan by cheap labour... companies like H&M but also bigger brands like Hugo Boss buy jeans there for 3 - 5 € and sell them for 90 €. Capitalism...

Re: ...

quote:
"..China has emerged as one of Germany’s most important international partner economies. At present, China is Germany’s largest trading partner outside of the EU, and an important investment destination.."

German-Chinese Economic Relations

Bilateral trade reached a record high of EUR154 billion in 2014.
German exports to China have been growing particularly strong.
An estimated 5,200 German companies are operating in China as of 2015.
Foreign direct investment into China continues to be strong.
Total invested capital stock accumulated to around EUR48 billion.
German companies employ an estimated 1.1 million staff in China.

I have a pdf file, but don't know how to upload it.  Title is, "German Business in China, 2015"  a business confidence survey produced by the German Chamber of Commerce in China.

Interesting stuff
