Admin Arkos

hi all

i'm kinda new here, didnt play for a long time, like 15 years
and found and installed it again..

i was playing at SiMPLE l 1942, for the first time even
on the map Guadalcanal..

i was playing at the japanese side, and got a PT boat,
and moved that boat in front of the allied airfield,

a plane got off, i waited till it was fully airborn, and started shooting,
at this point he was already heading right, towards the open sea
what also means he was fully airborn,
this player turned around, was heading for me, and i shot it out the air,
killed me too, the plane wreck went down on me

seems that this was an admin, who also seems to be pi**ed i shot him,

he kicked me without any warning!? thats normal?

so i logged back in, and he accused me of shooting a plane who was taking off,
what i absolutely did not,
ofcourse a discussion, and apperently he wanted to be right,
and didnt stop his bs really,

i asked him several times if im allowed to be there,
first no answer, then he said, i could be there, but not shoot a plane taking off,
what i did not, i also answered that..
but he kept accusing me of wrong doing,
then he threatened to ban me if i did it again,
well, do what again?, dont shoot a admin because he could get pi**ed?
(i didnt say that tho)
i just said he should quit with his bs, and not accuse me of not keeping the rules

and got banned!? i honestly dont know how long, and even care less,
didn't really like this welcome after a first kill when i enter a server,

if this is the level of admin's on the servers, you have a serious power trippin issue,

i'm not sad, or even angry, just a bit dissapointed.

i had quite some servers running in the past, the first 5 years it was online..
but also had very strict rules how a admin should behave,
if this would happen back in the days, his admin rights would be revoked, immediatly,

chasing people away, kicking someone without any explanation,
threatening to ban people, and simply pushing his
own opinion, when he knew he was wrong,
very very bad!!

admins should have a positive influence on a server,
this was a absolute abuse of power!

seems i wasnt banned for long,

did try to login after this post, and could

bit confusing, but ok

did watch this admin, and he's a decent player,
just pretty fast in his decision to kick someone after a tk, or a base attack,

maybe too fast sometimes?

ofcourse i don't know the athmosfere on the servers nowadays,
could be pretty bad with trolls ect,

so with this i like to withdraw my complain,
i assume it was a misunderstanding,
and he was in the spirit of the game
whats never a bad thing!

hey again

i understand what you mean, about gaining altitude ect,
and totally agree to that!

but check it, the waterlevel there is way lower then the runway,
so when a plane is visible, its already almost airborn,
and when its over water, its fully airborn,
i think i started shooting then

but, its a grey line, agreed

@ Seven, going forward, i know how to play the game

was only checking the PT boat, i don't remember we had those back in the days

btw...love the "underpaid admin" quote

It's easy, ... do not shoot taking off planes.

In Kharkov, Planes taking off sideways from their bases.

Even if they are in air and it looks good to flak them from middle, it's not allowed.

Only if they enter directly the battlefield.

Fully airborne is irrelevant. A plane that just took off hasn't gained enough airspeed to reasonably evade your gunfire or return fire, hence the rule.

Yes, but it depends on the route. If a plane takes off and goes stright into battlefield, you are allowed to shoot him down.

Abuse of power?

You made me tk several times with that plane you don't know how to handle and you didn't even ask for forgiveness.

Don't come here to judge the administrators if you can't justify your own actions.

are you sure your talking to the right person?

well, i'm sure you are not!

this is confusing, i was on the server for 5 minutes,
and Arkos's plane was the first thing i shot

"You made me tk several times with that plane"

what does that even mean?

i was in a plane before, got shot down, bailed, and made a swim to the PT boat, thats about it,

maybe you need a memory reset?
