i use pirateproxy.live
but i don't live in a totalitarian police state
I use torrent for certain things, but I prefer to download tv shows/movies from the video streaming sites because then I can basically preview them to see if it's in fact the one I'm looking for, basic stuff like that.
You could check out plex, here is a random link example from reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/plexshares/ there might be better threads with lots of ethusiasts that like to build and share stuff with friendly people.
Ivé tested it some years ago http://bfo.pm/pex/#3
btw, The Mandalorian season 2 has started, and also Star Trek: Discovery Season 3

This series is great. Will watch season 2 finale tonight
Also, FYI, The Expanse is finally back!!
The Expanse
Amazon emailed today saying the new season is live.
One of the better "Trump / Biden" documentaries (published Sept 20, 2020)
The Choice 2020
I also watched this one recently, which was incredibly good:
The life story of George Washington, the first President of the United States.

New comedy on Syfy that premiered a few days ago. Just watched the first elisode and it's pretty funny.
Far between good Norwegian series, but i enjoyed this one:
allright guys and girls. this is some scary tv series, with parallels to the pandemic.

Went to see this at the theater last night. I really hope they make more! Apparently the writer and director are talking about a "Saw universe" (like Marvel Universe) with new Saw and Spiral movies - https://movieweb.com/spiral-saw-mcu-mov … n-bousman/

recent events made me stumble over that movie:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_9th_Company
The 9th Company (Russian: 9 рота, romanized: 9 rota) is a 2005 Russian war film directed by Fedor Bondarchuk and set during the Soviet–Afghan War. The film is loosely based on a real-life battle that took place at Elevation 3234 in early 1988, during the last large-scale Soviet military operation (Magistral) in Afghanistan. It received generally positive reviews from critics.

I must note that 95% of Russian films are total nonsense. This one is not an exception, it has almost nothing to do with the history or reality in general. We have a popular website here, something like American IMDB:
https://www.kinopoisk.ru/film/84674/
The rating of this film is 6.699 of 10. The film director has a reputation of a bungler. Everything below 8 is not usually worth to watch.

What is some Russian movie you could recommend (preferably with English subtitles, of course?) I don't mind the genre. Can be a Stalingrad movie or something like "Karate Kid in Moscow."

Try to watch this, for example. It's a good Soviet musical. English subtitles are available.
Mr. First comes to a small town in the wild west to introduce the population to the art of cinematography. He brings a projector and an array of silent movies, including romance and comedy. Rowdy cowboys discover a different way of life and try to improve their own existence.
Thank you for sharing, nameless. I'm going to watch it.

Nice. First Russian Western movie I have seen. I guess it would have been nicer if I understood Russian because of the musical lyrics.
By the way, best move:

This show is hilarious
There are a lot of good films now. Therefore, it is difficult to choose a favorite. Especially in 2021, such cool films came out. Now I'm trying to review them all
