Moving to the Netherlands

New year, new server.

SiMPLE is moving BF1942 servers to a new dedicated server in Naaldwijk, the Netherlands. Server IP address is 194.88.105.25.

It is a more powerful server and most players will have a lower ping to the server.

So, what should you do?

Update your server list and look for *NEW* SiMPLE servers. After, add them to your favorites, if you wish, and delete the old ones. Join *NEW* SiMPLE servers and that's it.

You can also use these hostnames to connect, they will always resolve to the server IP address:

• bf1942.team-simple.org

• play.team-simple.org

It totally sucks for me. Got kicked for high ping today, had not happened on the other server.

not started fishing yet. i will make a fishing thread to update you guys on daily numbers.
i have gone up in ping. using my phone right now. if everybody is going down in ping, then i go the other way. tactics

My ping was previously ~60 and didn't feel lag, now it's ~40, is it just for me or the server is still improving?

something like (feel free to edit / improve them) :

want less lag ? connect to *new simple*

want lower ping? connect to *new simple*

Most maps dice made are meant for 32 players, only few maps are suitable for more players (like the CTF maps).

If you are smart you run TWO SERVERS, both 32 or 38 maybe 42 if u wanna be crazy.

Better to have full shop and people wait outside then to put 100 seats and make the place go crazy.

Not use ban... only kick... use forum for the drama

use NL server for 2 player lists... two slots 32 players... the one who joins tooo late has to wait..

Biggest problem than ping are stupid players and annoying admins. I see many good shooter with ping 100 and higher.

It use to work way better on the old server for some reason, now I seem to be getting massive lags. Thought it was my connection at first but the speed is the same.

if you are having trouble with lags and pings issue -> this might solve your problem:

1-download BF1942: https://oldgamesdownload.com/battlefield-1942/

2-re-install BF1942

3-download TCP Optimizer: https://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php, choose "Optimal" on settings.

after i did all this step above my ping went down to 33-37 and no more lag issues.

3 days ago i had a ping of 50 and massiv hit reg problems. this whole stuff with updating my ingame browser and my favorites didnt helped me at all however.

UPDATE:
my ping  went back to 50-55 again today. im the only client connected on my router and i dont have any downloads open or any special programms running. i think this might be an ISP issue but im not sure about that cause i dont have much knowledge about this.

i dont have any tracert ss from yesterday when i had a "normal" ping unfortunately.
anyone having theses ping hopings probs too?

thats only on SiMPLE btw.. on aX server everything seems to be normal.

There are times when I would randomly get a steady 127 ping during the whole day, instead of a normal 52. And yes, this only happens on simple. I have enough bandwidth for multiple users, so I know that's not the issue.

Port remains the same:

*NEW* SiMPLE | New Maps Port:  14569

Please join our servers from the new adress.There is a redirection from old servers but it will be closed soon.Hurry up and make the update!
How to do it?SiMPLE!
Just go to the servers list and update it.Then search for *NEW* SiMPLE  servers and connect to them!We advice to add *NEW* SiMPLE  servers to the favourites to find our servers easier next time, after removing old SiMPLE servers from your favourites list.
Otherwise press "add server" in servers list game menu, insert new server's ip and port and join *NEW* SiMPLE  servers!

When it first moved to Netherlands,  my ping got to 20 and it was stable. Everything was awesome for like 1-2 months...Before I could have open web browser and whatever stuff, my ping was 20 anytime and everything was great.   however the last 4-5 weeks have been more difficult. Now, ping is not constant. It changes from 20 - 30, but not just that, it seems laggy at times or it feels like I had my 50 ping that I have on AX.. I dont know why, no hits as well...

But it was 99% like this since i play on Simple.

With MP and Sniper it's really hard to play.
