We already have 5 members, and 3-4 potential recruits, thank you very much.
And why would I not password it? It is a clan server after all. When we have clan meetings I don't want noobs interrupting us. The rest of the time the server is public but during our meetings, then yes a password is needed.
Oh and even better, since the server became a clan server it has gone from being 120th to 31st on GT. We had 10 people play in the server the other day.

Hi all, I've decided to ZIP all server side bot patches I've done for public release. The ZIP file contains bot support for the following vanilla maps:
- Battle of the Bulge
- Battleaxe
- Berlin
- Bocage
- El Alamein
- Gazala
- Iwo Jima
- Kharkov
- Kursk
- Market Garden
- Omaha Beach
- Stalingrad
- Tobruk
- Wake
Not included in the ZIP are the maps which have no COOP/SP support such as Liberation of Caen, Coral Sea, Aberdeen, Battle of Britain and Invasion of the Philippines.
I've also omitted Midway and Guadalcanal because the Conquest version of those maps have submarines (in COOP, there are none because the submarines have no AI info and the bots stall and crash the server when they use them in CQ).
I'm currently trying to fix this issue for a future release.
The patched RFA files allow for up to 64 bots to populate a Conquest server. I have maxed out their aggression level with a little command (no, not by setting the CPU used by each bot to 100%!) that make them come alive.
It's not as if the bots can strafe but what the hell, they give you a little bit of a challenge.
The ZIP works for Linux and Windows. To use the bot files, simply extract the ZIP to your desktop. After that, navigate to the place where you extracted the ZIP, and cut and paste all the RFA files to your levels folder, located @ C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Archives\bf1942\levels by default.
You can run your server as a Pure server as this is a server side modification and it will not result in clients having a ''Data differs from server'' error.
The patched RFA files look like this: name_of_map_005.rfa. If you already have a server side mod with a patch number that is greater than 005 (i.e. 009.rfa), you need to change the number extension of the bot RFA files to something greater (i.e., 010.rfa) in order to have the bots on your map.

A little update: We have two interested teams that want to play in the tournament (the rest couldn't make it). These are lop and tampliers. The matches will start as soon as tampliers gets a team together.

bf1942 has ALWAYS needed a bloody zombies mod to play in co-op of course.
There is one actually. Zombie Mod v1.55. Google it it's not bad, the bots track you down and kill you.
Every so often it seems there is a small update to Battlefield 1942 that can be applied to the game which in turn gives it a more modern feel.
Imagine playing Battlefield 1942 with up to date high quality textures, from the buildings to the soldiers and everything in between.
Please give me a PM here if you would like to help to texture some things.
P.S. Our wish is not to make a mod, rather to have our new skins and textures be the default of the game. This means you will be able to play on any BF1942 server with this pack installed. We look to also release a stand alone version of our pack.
Sounds cool, but FHSW is already doing a texture overhaul of the game. What kind of high quality textures are we talking about? Do you have any examples (photos)?
If you make this mod the way that you describe it, it will further divide the player base, which will be divided between people that have the HQ texture patch and those that do not. If I were you I'd make it a separate mod, and not a replacement of the core RFA files in the Archives folder.
Most people here don't want to redownload a whole new patch/game version, so making a mod is really the best option you have. I know because I had the same idea. The only way you can make this work is if every community leader decides to release an unofficial game update that is mandatory to have in order to play in the servers. You could then have the HQ texture version be a part of this update.

Someone tried unsuccessfully to stop the Axis onslaught with this two jeep, three mine roadblock. It's simple yet perfect. The jeeps are parked in such a way they effectively stop vehicles from crossing the bridge. They allow space for infantry to move between them yet it would be difficult to drive either vehicle away under fire. Even if an advancing tank did manage to clear the jeeps they would still have mines to deal with.

Hi guys! The mod has been uploaded to the server. It runs all three of the mod's maps (rf_canyon, rf_castle, labyrinth pro) on TDM, CTF and Objective.
TDM and CTF have kits around the map on rf_castle. On Objective, the Allied side has an expack near their spawn that they must pick up at the beginning of the round to infiltrate the labyrinth and destroy the safe inside it.

Won't get cancelled this time that's for sure. If you keep it small then it's easier to manage and less teams drop out. Last time we had too much teams and some of them pulled out in the middle of the tournament. Had no choice but to cancel.

What is it?
As part of my weekly mod events I am throwing up this mini-cup next Saturday. It is a small knockout tournament.
4 teams of 4 players may register and specs are also welcomed. If you want to join just to film the cup, take screens, you may also join (but just make sure you don't spawn will the teams are playing each other).

How do we play?
The cup will take place in the Objective GPM. For those of you familiar with Secret Weapons, it is a game mode found in most of the maps. The object of the game is to infiltrate the Axis stronghold (by destroying gates or cement blocks) in order to get access to the object to destroy (the Objective). In both maps listed on the pictures, a safe must be destroyed. Once destroyed the Allied side automatically wins. The Axis of course must defend this safe from Allied expacks at all costs. If they can hold the Allied assaults long enough until the Allied tickets run out, the Axis team wins.
A typical Objective round lasts three minutes, that means the Allied side has three minutes to penetrate Axis defenses to then blow up the safe.
A few rules:
- A match will consist of a best of five rounds approach. The maximum length of a match should then be 15 minutes
- Server will be PunkBuster protected when the tournament begins
- Nades and explosives are disabled
- Round time limit is three minutes
- On the map Labyrinth_Pro, which will be the map used in the Final, players may only spawn once
Teams may sign up in this topic. Make sure you have the mod installed, PB and a GSC account as those will be required to sign up for the event. Every team will have a captain responsible of contacting his/her team members and training them for the match if required.
