Guess which is my "vote yes" key and I'll push it, I'll give you a hint: it's not "7".
Just joking; I already pushed "no".
Here's a true and honest account of what happened:
I was playing on Stalingrad last night, having fun and doing well when suddenly my cat jumped up onto my computer desk and stepped on the number 5 key, which caused my engineer character to select an X-pack. "Get out of here!" I said, shooing him off my keyboard. He jumped from my keyboard to my mouse, first standing on the left button with his front left paw, then the right button with his back right paw. I watched as my engineer, controlled by my cat, threw an x-pack then changed to the detonator. He sat on the edge of my desk, watching me as I waggled my finger at him and said "Do NOT touch my mouse!" Upon hearing the word mouse his eyes lit up, his ears pricked, and his gaze turned to my computer's hand controlled pointing device, I knew what he was thinking, I knew what he would do next. "No, Fluffles!" I cried desperately as he leaped through the air, "It's not that kind of mouse!" I could only watch in horror as he landed on his prey, once again clicking the left button and, this time, detonating the X-pack he'd earlier thrown, which was now hidden from view under a fully occupied APC. "What have you done!?" I called in disbelief, my voice cracking as I saw those dreaded words appear on the screen "Winston Smith killed a team-mate". I tabbed to see my score: -37.
It wasn't my fault, honestly.
FTK does work and it reduces the time penalty for TKing; im not sure if it cancels out the TK in terms of 1/3 becoming 0/3 or not.
Reading your explanation I do feel you're not quite getting how things are supposed to work. Everyone TK's, and everyone gets kicked from time to time; I always laugh when a fellow admin gets kicks, but I laugh harder when I do! However, we are not suppose to TK. Think of a sport, say basketball, you get 5 fouls and then you're off. If you get five fouls in one game and the referee sends you off it doesn't matter that you were in "the thick of it" or not, you're out of here buddy! When I played basketball at high school, and I was on three fouls, then I checked my play, I played with less overt aggression and more careful aggression. You don't have to stop playing aggressively but, for crying out loud, be careful! Use your minimap, pay attention to who is around you, not just in the immediate vicinity, but also who might be within lethal range when your grenade, etc, explodes, and be considerate.
I'm not a very good player, and I love my grenades; they get me half of my kills! But I seldom get kicked for TK's. When you get kicked for TK'ing then you have to say to yourself "OK, in the next round I'm not going to get ANY TK's". Challenge yourself to be a better, more careful, player.
And by the way, team wounding is still an offense even if you are !twound'ing a TK'er: "If I find a TK'er, I just sit there and shoot near his feet".
Have you tried to play again?
Wespe's can go in the ocean? I want one!
They can but not for very long; 1.75 seconds I believe.
Lol. I can see next time I play Omaha there's gonna be twenty people from both teams all trying to climb the hill!
Whoopz wrote:exactly the point Grove, this has been known for years lol
Known to be possible or not? I still haven't seen solid proof, did it the exact same way as the vid I posted and by far didn't make it.
It is possible; it's just not easy.
I did it once after trying about thirty times.
I have tried about a hundred times since and have never done it successfully again.
When I did it I had an amazing rush of satisfaction!
Congratulations to the West Indies!
... although when you add auto balance into the mix things can get confusing when former foes are now allies!
It's pretty good the way it is. Use your minimap and be careful about where you throw grenades, drop bombs, lob artillery, and race your jeep and you'll be fine. Let us know if anyone's deliberately jumping in front of your vehicles; that happens from time to time. But all in all it makes players play more carefully and it's not too hard to finish a round without being kicked.
Remember that you get three kicks a day, but after that you're banned permanently (or until you come back and ask nicely to have it lifted [bring cupcakes for faster removal]).
can i say "we've had have an examination" ?
Remember the "we've" is a contraction of "we have", which would make your sentence "we have had have...".
Anyway, put "have" before "had" not after it.
Kept half an eye on Bounty Hunter Lani since s/he was complaining about TK'ers but didn't give #numbers or names; figured s/he was either a troll or a few sandwiches short of a picnic.
Bounty's score was -1/0/7, or something like that; there were no other humans with negative scores.
Bounty Hunter Lani on the forum:
"Everyone who knows me in the evenings knows that I do not do that, and I have lots of friendly fun on that server. They all know I am not a problem..."
"There are lots of people in the evenings that could vouche for me, an (BB)DinkW unfairly banned me from the server I have lots of fun with friends on..."

> Look on the minimap, before you are throwing grenades.
> Look on the minimap, before to rush into a hot area, like flagpoints, to see, if a mate is allready there. So you are prepaired for the situation.
(For different situaition press key "n" to change the zoom of minimap. 2 x "n" is smalest zoom, like this you have a larger area in sight.)
> When you can't see names, don't throw grenades.
> Accidents happends, i know. On the other side, when i teamkilled mates because i "forgot" (or was too stupid) to have a closer look on the minimap, i kick myself.

And always apologise for team-killing, or close calls ![]()
Hitting people with a plane or running them down with a jeep is still attacking. You don't need to be using armaments; guns, bombs, lasers, knives, etc, for it to be considered "attacking".
You said it was accidental, and you said you were mistakenly in the wrong base; that's understandable, however your response wasn't apologetic, it was demanding. If you made a mistake then it would be better to apologise and promise not to repeat the offence; you'll not speed up your unbanning but making demands.
What's the last "0"? Is that your ping?!
Were you doing anything disruptive?
Details mate: Server name, time, map, etc.
I hope that's not what happened though...,
I'll read all this at some time, but I fear when I'll have time it will have grown by another volume.

These things scare the shit out of me in an acceptance of fate kind of way.
..
I founded and was Commanding Officer at CAL champion "Steal Rage". I had the greatest players in the game. We went undefeated. It was a privilege to command them.
I was the Commanding Officer at Reverence. We had in excess of 100 players in our clan. I had an officer corps of eight. They all reported directly to me.
I was the founder and Commanding Officer at First Army. We won the regular season championship in The 3FL. It was a privilege to command these fine men, mostly ex-military coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan. I had an officer corps of five. They reported directly to me.
I was founder and Commanding Officer of the last great clan of Battlefield 1942. We had WACArnold. We had STEVIE_WONDER. We had every great player in the history of this game. It was an All-Star team .. survivors from the great clans of days gone by. I commanded these men in matches and set strategy. Like I have done for championship teams in the past, it was a joy to be at the controls of an intricate ballet of INTENSE talent. We went undefeated in 26 consecutive matches. So, we quit. It was over. We had defeated them all. With prejudice.
GoodDaytoDie is superior to 99% of all players I ever commanded, ever.
He is 100% unequivocally clean.
I know EVERYBODY in this game. EVERYBODY. I know what they do. I know what they've done. I know every place they've played on a competitive team.
The man plays a clean game of Battlefield 1942.
If he kills you, you needed killin'.
Straight Up.

You sound like Idi Amin: "His Excellency, President for Life, Field Marshal Al Hadji Doctor Idi Amin Dada, VC, DSO, MC, Lord of All the Beasts of the Earth and Fishes of the Seas and Conqueror of the British Empire in Africa in General and Uganda in Particular".
No one took him seriously either. I believe he died eating oranges in Saudi Arabia.
It's a bit difficult for me to find specific information on landing gear speed tolerance levels, however, I found a link to a good book about WWII test pilots:
https://books.google.co.jp/books?id=NFT … 29&f=false
In terms of modern military aircraft, you're right that there's a lot that is "unknown". However, I found some flight manuals which, if you were to invest the time, you could discover most of the information you'd be looking for:
F-86 Sabre
https://books.google.co.jp/books?id=Fde … &q&f=false
F4 Phantom
http://www.f4phantom.com/docs/NATOPS-Fl … rcraft.pdf
Mirarge F1

Mig-21

Mig-29

And here's a useful overview site:

Enjoy!
Lol. I'll have a look tomorrow. I think info on planes from the 70s or earlier should but public by now.
Smith,
I'm not seeing a server by that name?
The correct server name is needed to look up a ban. Thanks,
Blade
I think KPZ in the banned player's name.
Mr Smith is applying for his friend.
Mmmmm, I wonder if he's a relation?
Do you want to learn about V-Speeds in general? They seem to be more of a civil requirement for the aviation industry and a reasonably recent one at that. I'm sure WW2 era military aircraft had their own versions but they may have been more along the lines of: "Don't take off slower that 80knts", kinda thing.
Anyway, here's some links for general information:
http://guthrieaviation.com/cms/index.ph … 3-v-speeds
https://www.ivao.aero/training/document … _speed.pdf
Here's a site for Cessna 172 SP - V Speeds. You can study the material and even test yourself - who knows, you might be flying in the real world someday!
https://quizlet.com/15825269/cessna-172 … ash-cards/
But if you're more interested in WW2 aircraft then here's a paper I found:
http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/sl-wade.html
Same info in chart form:
http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/ … chart1.jpg
But I think this is the goldmine for WW2 era aircraft, though it's not laid out for the layman:
http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/
And a couple more:
For the second time to be banned without a prior kick or a notice or warning nothing.. For something as small as flying over an enemy main.. Pull your fucking head out of your sensitive little asses, realise this is a video game and your killing it by having these jackoff admins ruin your server by kicking anything that hurts their little feelings.. Lol go fuck you and your server.. Its not wonder I quit this game like 12 yrs ago u bunch of life rejects
Strange after two pages of the thread, how far from the truth the first post was. And to read the deterioration of rationale through the thread. Then of course, because truth is always the answer, threats.
You JUST cant make this shit up!
Lol. You should really use quote marks or something Pleiades! I thought you were calling your admin buddies jackoffs for a minute ![]()
PS. I would like a small chocolate shake. Thanks.
Is it true they're not really made from dairy products?
Or was that just an urban myth perpetuated by The Simpsons?
Well, there is a flag fare, so to speak. I can also offer battlefield sightseeing tours.
BoS wrote:PitViper knows how i fly, high and come down attack and leave a trail of smoke as i go back up.
ah man sorry for nagging but that is a bit UFO pussying kinda. skilled pilots that do this all the time is just so fucking boring, go in low and hard and fuck up as many as you can before you bite the grass.
Yes you to CC.
For sure! And none of this changing angles nonsense, are you flying a Spitfire or a radio controlled plane at the park? Use front view only and if you start taking damage swerve violently in every direction until you lose them or crash into a tree. That's the honourable way to fly. That's how the pioneers flew.
does anyone care ?
Literally only me.
