Do you play? I don't think I have seen you on the server, so I'm not sure it would matter to you.

Leo Fender had it right in the '60's, in my never humble opinion!

HI Lenny,

I do appreciate the comments.  I have been around the block a few times and I try not to let it get to me personally. When it does, I usually stop playing.

There are a lot of people, and I use the term loosely, that come to the server to disrupt. I only yesterday made an assumption that someone was on that page when I banned them for one day. Before it took effect, they typed "sorry".  Ooops. I went into the remote manager and removed the ban. They came back on the server.

I guess what I am saying is I would rather there not be a need for an admin than to have to admin. It is mostly a thankless job, until now!

Thanks Lenny, good luck with your other thread.

I am reminded of when people are upset the the M10 won't leave when they think it should, and then TK the M10.

Not that it really pertains to this issue, but I hate getting TK'ed in the M10 at Tobruk, the mountain Chi Ha on Iwo, and/or Panzer at Caen

Sounds about like me Dink. Since the demo, hit the game the day it hit the stores

Proof? I disagree I added any proof to your campaign, only insights.

so sweet smile

Actually, I resolve many 'potential' issues on the server, thank you very much. There are times when someone insists "oh, Oscar, you warned me, why don't you warn DerPersonIwasKilledBy?"

There are those situations, and then I do, and the person misses it, and asks again, and again, and stops playing... well, there is a good reason why I ask them to take it to the forum.

While I understand you have your opinion (agenda?) tiger, based on past issues, but even if you experience this still to this day, and others do too, my perception is it the exception, rather than the rule.

And the worshipers you talk about are actual players that don't have hassles chiming in, and janet.

:-p janet!

I need to say you guys really can't handle managing this server.

I appreciate the feed back.

If it helps you out in any way:
-All of the admins all have our unique personalities and admin style.
-We don't necessarily admin more than one server, even though we may play multiple servers.
-It is at times difficult to keep up with the 'shit storms' that happen mid-game.

I try my best. The admins I like do the same.

I had a bad experience as a pubbie recently on Moon.  I saw it as a time in my life, a unique event. It may help others to approach with that attitude as well.

Sorry Jubilee but I will not play any more when you are in game sad

She is one of the harder targets for me too.  I think I am about 1 in 5 against her.  It is REALLY tough to be upset about it when you are on teamspeak together.  :-)

It would be cool to hear you on there too, bud!

Interesting thread.

Like everything else in the game, the more you do it, and concentrate on getting better, you get better. I am in no way god's gift to battlefield, but I do have my killing sprees where I do a few head shots in a row.  I have been called a hacker before too when it happened.

For many years after the game came out I worked as an IT Manager for a company and I was pretty caught up, so I tended to play an hour to two every now and again at the office.  Internet speeds were not the best back then, so I tended to play single player. If you ever desire to work on the one shot kill, try single player for a bit.  You'll see there is an art to it.

The best hit box that I have found is the tippy top of the head. That is where I aim.

For a while, I tried the scout thing.  I had some tape on my monitor, in the shape of a small, thin arrow, and it was set up on the exact cross hair point to no scope.  For a while, I was ok'ish. Jubilee is something special. Reminds me of Team [HOT] Katie Holmes.

I have enjoyed playing and chatting with Chicago.

I wish Chicago had left the game after evading and PipeR had told him to come here. I wish I didn't have to !ban him because of my first statement. But he did come back in game, and would not read what we were saying, obviously, because he started playing while typing, and was reluctant to come here "because he doesn't really care" if he can't play here.

Obviously, this is not true, or he would not be posting.

If it were my decision, I would ignore the evasion issue and concentrate on the glitching.

Us admins all try to do our best to make sure the gaming experience is fun and on an even playing field.  Glitching is obviously on all of our radars. I back up SurrenderMonkey on what he saw.  Of course, I expect him to do the same.

And finally, yes, Tuia is the last say so. If you appeal, he will read what I had to say.  I have enjoyed our playing and our banter.

#174 Re: Server Ban Appeals » Ban Appeal » 2015-12-29 03:27:49

Hi Blind Soldier,

I was having issues with you today.  The base attack was a final straw.

Your ban is 24 hours.  See you back on the server tomorrow.

Oscar

#175 Re: Server Ban Appeals » 28.12 » 2015-12-29 03:26:17

FWIW, PipeR and I were playing when the message popped up that Chicago had been banned for glitching.  Chicago came back, and after a few minutes of discussion, I !ban'ned Chicago for evading the ban.

P.S. Chicago - PipeR is a female, hence some of the comments.

#177 Re: Server Ban Appeals » maad jc » 2015-12-23 17:47:52

I HAD to cheat to stop a cheater!

Nice new approach. I prefer the Chewbacca defense, myself.

Jesuschrist is a disruptive player anyway, that I kicked and even perhaps banned for a day myself.  No big loss to the community here.

#178 Re: Server Ban Appeals » No reason for ban » 2015-11-22 16:45:11

I was in the tank. I was in the spot waiting for the allied tank.

Recoil got in and asked me to move.  Well, I'm waiting for the allied tank.

So I spin.  This is the "get the hell out of the tank" signal.  The tank was damaged, by a teammate, and I wanted to repair.  So I call for an engy, and Recoil suggests that I fix the tank.  I get out to fix and Recoil takes the wheel.

:-/

I kick to get the tank back.  You come back and try to tk me.  Again, and again, Recoil.

So yes, after a few kicks for the same stupid stuff, I banned you for a day.

Get the tank yourself next time, and you take it where you want it.  I was playing my game.

And as for you being a leader, I was kicking all of your assess as Allied until someone said it was stacked, and I suicided and went Axis.  Just having me NOT Allied was helping.  I got 10 frags in that corner and saved two flags.

Worse, is you enticed Falcon64_ARG to tk me too, and I kicked him for the same stupid stuff.
