THEY KNOW WHAT THE P STANDS FOR TU, You CAN'T HIDE IT
Perhaps its best to consider
everything doesn't require covering of others eyes (islam does that you know)
no need for black blindfolds like we're Dread Pirate Roberts
if one fears nothing but fear itself,
such is the human condition
lop stands for lack of players, stop projecting your dirty fantasies onto others.
The jews have indoctrinated you well, Islam is the source of all evil. You are a good goy.
Thank you, Blindschuetz! That is more than enough.
Valid criticism is met with "Haha" and a disingenuous request for feedback. The house is on fire, but leadership insists on fanning the flames. Reap what you sow.
That is not entirely true, even though all feedback is taken into account, time is limited and there are several other things being worked behind closed doors.
Sure.
In my opinion, what you have is a severe problem with admins who create an environment where the average user is mistreated. The admins cater to their own inner circle and arbitrarily enforce rules. It is a "rules for thee, not for me" type of environment. This issue doesn't just manifest itself in direct kicks/bans/warnings, often times for honest mistakes or misunderstandings, but also in little things like forced map changes or time extensions.
These admins often arbitrarily kick/ban people for an offense, without having seen it themselves, and just on the eyewitness account of someone else who they trust. This person often times is corrupt themselves and lying or is simply involved in a situation which is a product of confusion, misunderstanding, or just a honest mistake.
You may read this and think it sounds silly, and perhaps want to say "just grow up, it was only a kick", but over a long period of time these little jabs erode trust in the server and the community. The admins do not respect themselves or the players and this often results in the players not having respect for the admins or the system.
That is fair enough. I will invest more time in policing the servers. There will be a new sheriff in town.
Thank you, Telrin. I prefer the previous version because the text is similar to the original 32x32 pixels text.
I took your approach and used the original 128x128 pixels T34 image and cropped it to 106x106 px, to frame it like the original 32x32 px. Then, removed the surrounding text and resized it to 64x64, 128x128 and 256x256 pixels, using the resample method Lanczos2, which seemed visually better than the rest. Now, it is only missing adding the text around the tank image, which should have a black outline, just like in the original.
Can anyone please finish it? Here are the resulting images.
106x106 px:
Resized to 64x64 px:
Resized to 128x128 px:
Resized to 256x256 px:
The text should be as close to the original one, here resampled from 32x32 to 128x128 pixels, to clearly see the outline and the size of the text:
I'm sorry to hear that you've had a negative experience with the game you've been playing for years. Alvarez-Latino, I've seen you've made some friends here.
... and now of course the server change because the admin can not stop posting anti-Jew content.
This made me chuckle. What are your suggestions, then? We are all ears.
You should try Windows XP SP2 and please reply back if you do it and are successful running Battlefield 1942.
Having lag compensation is beneficial to any first person shooter game, including classic Battlefield 1942 game, in my opinion. Aiming and leading your shots based on your latency to the server is an unrealistic feeling, and i believe it deters most players from fully enjoying the game. Lag compensation has its downsides, but if properly set up and tuned, the advantages clearly outweigh the cons.
This discussion reminds me when hit indication marker was enabled in version 1.2 or version 1.3 of Battlefield 1942, there would always be someone complaining about any change (improvement) to the game.
Hola! Qué tal?
You should use Windows NT 4.0 (Service Pack 5) compatibility instead of Windows 98. I can't be sure now, but playing Battlefield 1942 on Windows XP did not require any compatibility mode.
Have you tried updating DirectX? Windows XP is a rarity these days.
Nice and funny video! I believe you have to disable audio when encoding to create your background.bik video, because the audio being played in Battlefield 1942 main menu is from Mods\bf1942\Music\Slaughter4.bik file. So, you would have first to encode the video without audio to create background.bik file and then encoding the audio without video, if it is possible, to produce slaughter4.bik file. The intro.bik file should have video and audio together, of course.
II just learned that size does not really matter, i tried your 128 x 128 .ico.
Is it enough to rename a .bmp to .ico or do i have to use some software ?
You will have to use some software to create an .ico file. According to Wikipedia's ICO article, the .ico file contains image bitmap data in BMP format, for earlier versions of Windows, along with some header and structure information.
The 128px icon file is downsampled and looks blurry in the lower resolutions. Is it not possible to use a vector image to create an icon?
Thank you very much! But how did you do it? Did you use T34 or T34-85 dds image from menu icons and added the Battlefield 1942 text?
Nice video with good editing. Some of your kills are so lucky, they are impressive.
Welcome back! Did you find it?
Alvarez latino likes to bully players, but can't see anything wrong with his messages in today's server chat log.
Anyone has, or can create, an upscaled version of the original Battlefield 1942 icon? The original one only has 32x32 pixels and looks bad in newer versions of Windows. It should be at least 64x64.
Here is another custom main menu video from Merciless Creations. Pick your favorite.
Download background-merciless.zip and extract it, next copy background.bik file to your Mods\bf1942\Movies folder.
You are right. I censored your post, but in good faith, so that everyone do not get a wrong impression about you. They may think you are an uneducated no class bum, with your foul language use, which is far from the truth.
Hello Christian,
Thank you for reporting it. The allied bots in Essen map are too afraid to enter the city, they just need a little push. They will be persuaded to enter the battle, don't worry.
Looks like you can encode video and audio to a .bik file using RAD Video Tools, which is free to use. Bink video is a proprietary file format with their own video and audio codecs and Bink 1 format has been reverse-engineered by the FFmpeg project, but only decoding is supported, according to Bink Video Wikipedia article. That means you can play any .bik file with mpv or VLC, for example. FFmpeg project did not add encoding support to .bik file, probably to avoid any legal disputes with RAD Game Tools company.
Hello Kara-Kov,
It seems you are not using the latest BF1942 executable, so you cannot view in the servers list the *NEW* SiMPLE servers. When you hit the Update button nothing shows up, right? Then, replace your BF1942.exe or download and run the updated Battlefield 1942 GameSpy patch, which will do that automatically.
To answer your questions:
1- The new server IP is 37.187.92.162, port is the same 14567 and it is been online since about 2 weeks ago.
2- You have to hit the Update button with BF1942.exe newest version and remove the old server from Favorites, if you have it added to your Favorites list.
3- These are the new servers details:
*NEW* SiMPLE | BF1942 => Address: 37.187.92.162 Port: 14567
*NEW* SiMPLE | RtR+SW => Address: 37.187.92.162 Port: 14568
*NEW* SiMPLE | New Maps => Address: 37.187.92.162 Port: 14569
*NEW* SiMPLE | Tanks a lot! => Address: 37.187.92.162 Port: 14571
If you have any problem updating your Battlefield 1942 game, reply back and I or anyone else will help you out.
Hey Winston Smith! Welcome back! Would you mind sharing your .bik video file? I remember searching for the .bik format specifications and it was some obscure video game format, but never got too much interested in researching it.
I think there are no custom videos for Road to Rome or Secret Weapons main menus. I will search for it, though.
Are you a distant relative of Nostradamus?
I am sure they copied your B17 moves.
