Although dgVoodoo worked for me and it bypassed my laptop's iGPU (Intel® UHD Graphics 630) and used dGPU instead. But...
Regardless of screen resolution the application forced my refresh rate to 60Hz instead of 144Hz and it terribly produced not just ghosting but also screen tearing whenever I moved around the map, then when I tick "Enumerate refresh rates" in General tab and select my resolution with highest refresh rate available (i.e. 1920x1080, 143Hz) the game refuses to run at all.
It's a shame that it utilized my GTX 1660 Ti mobile GPU like a champ for my DirectX 8-based games and only those above are my drawbacks for dgVoodoo.
P.S.
I'm part of the "dark side" now though...
What's the use of very high fps if the monitor couldn't throw at it frame-by-frame, plus as of this writing only 360Hz are available for the consumer market and any game, especially older titles like bf1942 had breached beyond the refresh rate of that monitor will produce screen tearing and it's a terrible experience especially for competitive gamers.
June 2003, and playing it on an internet café as owning a PC at that time is a status symbol (at least in my country ).
As of this writing, only 6+1 "electoral college" votes are needed for Biden/Harris to win.
Sorry to ask this but, just like the rest of the world, does popular vote aren't enough in the US national elections?

I usually played vanilla bf1942 and mods on Ubuntu 12.04 through Wine and for the most part never had any issues except:
* Fast user switching (aka Alt+Tab) will never work in fullscreen mode, though there's a walk-around on that through winecfg by forcing the game in windowed mode; and...
* Punkbuster doesn't work if you want to join a PB-enabled servers for obvious reason.

BTW, how many "I need a help" thread you're planning to create when you ask random questions?
:facepalm
There's nothing you can do about that, as Forgotten hope secret weapon (a sub-modification of Forgotten hope) is notoriously known for having the longest loading times in Battlefield 1942 mods. That's the price to pay when a mod is having over 700 content at it's disposal!
And a radio spammer too!
Unfortunately though, there's no active admin for more than 10 months in aX to get rid of those effers.
There's no separate file/s for installing the latest version of FHSW 0.611

And I can confirm that the latest installer for FHSW mod does not work on 32-bit operating system.
What's the specs of your rig? Does your GPU a dedicated (e.g. Nvidia Geforce or AMD Radeon) or an integrated (e.g. Intel UHD Graphics or AMD Radeon RX Vega) one, and does it have enough VRAM?
Well,Arkos, this didn't work, and Jesus I'm still trying to find out how to do that.

The better solution for that is to create a desktop shortcut of BfVietnam.exe and set the target for a mod that you want to play by adding "+game BfBalkan" (without quotes) for example.
In Japanese atwiki page https://w.atwiki.jp/battlefield1942 look at "<<国内MOD>>(Made in Japan)" section on the left side, click one of the listed mods and go to the ones ended with "とは?" (translit.: What is) that you would like to see.
for better understanding, just use Google translate.
Rendering 3D ironsights in BF1942/BFVietnam were terrible due to engine limitations and low-poly count on handweapons in vanilla alone. Some have been done it like BG42:Pacific island assault mod (a BattleGroup42 mod for BFVietnam) and others are in 2D (cough cough XWW2, cough).
Only on matured Refractor 2 engine-based BF2 and it's mods like FH2 make it right.
There's also a latest map pack created by Fizzy as the version 1.1 from bf-games.net's download section is already deprecated.
Fizzy's Map Pack v1.3

Some of the maps are already adopted on bf1942 mods like BattleGroup42 and WarFront.
There are two online servers hosting FHSW; one was from Japan (Kabu.server FHSW0.61) and another from Germany (FHSW0.61 fhsw-europe.com). If it's from the latter then try to contact them in their forum and maybe they can help you.

Ahhh, the "Jack-in-the-box effect" which introduced in earlier release candidate 1 until it was later pulled out on subsequent releases. It was a great sight to see a tank turret blown off in the air, but yeah the framerate was dropped on every tank kills!

Hi all. For some reason I have weird glitches in game. Firstly, some color shapes appear different (glitched) and the game accepts no input whatsoever. Though I am playing the game with Wine directly from BF42 installation on Windows (/media/XXX/XXX/Program Files/EA Games/Battlefield 1942/BF42.exe). Is that a problem after all, should I install the game on Linux?
P.S: I have input problems when running the game in full screen mode but not in windowed... ;|

You have to add "renderer.forceSwSkinning 1" (without quotes) in Mods/bf1942/Settings/VideoDefault.con and save it.
And yes, you have to install Battlefield 1942 directly on Linux. If you own a physical copy just do a traditional installation process, otherwise follow this steps:
