map loading

I played FHSW but if i tried to join a server , the map loading is taking a long time. i think its 3 minutes. How to fix something like that? I want my map load faster. but the map succesfully loaded after 3 minutes . i cant play when its take a long time to load. when its done, sometimes the server changing map XD. Plz halp! :DDDDDD

oh yeah i forgot, can u open the registration pls?

There's nothing you can do about that, as Forgotten hope secret weapon (a sub-modification of Forgotten hope) is notoriously known for having the longest loading times in Battlefield 1942 mods. That's the price to pay when a mod is having over 700 content at it's disposal!

FHSW is the biggest mod for the game. So no wonder why it takes time to load a map.

The best thing you can do, to reduce the map-loading time significantly, is to get a CPU with the fastest single-thread performance.

An SSD will not help in this case, (much) unfortunately.

But you can still try the 4GB patch suggested by Arkos. This patch is also helpful to prevent crashes.

Open the 4GB patch, then locate your bf1942.exe, and click on open.

If it's really 3 mins, then that's not exactly what I would call long time.

Some people have to wait 9 mins, I usually wait 4-5 and everything's fine.

You can switch anytime free to Windows 10, ... you know.

It's a normal upgrade, no new Installation.

I have windows 8.1 . And yes, i want the upgrade.
Is the upgrade makes my laptop lagging?

Btw. Windows 10 is not that bad, runs smooth and has an integrated InternetSecurity.

Btw. You can revert the system just 10 days, not 30.

Means, you can go back to old OS, between 10 days.
