Here are 2 traceroute listings. The first is from my hard wired 400Mg connection, max 100 hops. The second is using my cell phone as a hot spot. It still shows the timeouts but it gets there with fewer hops. Maybe that's why I never get disconnected and almost never freeze with it though it's still jerky.

By the way, you can extend the number of hops that Tracert will track. Adding (space)-m100 after the tracert command will increase the number of hops to 100, for instance. I haven't tried that with more than 50 hops, however...
To support Ironfart's findings, this is a tracert to Simple I ran in January after a couple of months of bad connection:
Notice the time-out starts with the same address that Iron shows.

Not an OS problem. Clearly a server issue. Another case of users who aren't hitting this problem not believing those who DO have the problem.
The actual statement in English is: "we're taking casualties"
I just logged on to Simple Aberdeen only and placed a Wespe on the ridge where Sepp parks his all the time. I have taken screen shots that show a shell landing in the city which is most definitely visible from the ridge firing position. Hitting behind the city from this position is just a matter of aiming higher until the shot passes over and lands beyond the city. Then you lower the gun so your next shot falls in the city street. If you hit someone beyond the city with the first ranging shot, it's just a lucky kill. The goal is to land your next shot or shots in the city street to kill an opposing player who has grayed the city flag, even if you can't see the flag itself. Sepp does not deserve to be banned for taking ranging shots that land beyond his intended target.
He deserves to be unbanned. Kick or ban him for chat spamming if you want, because he surely does that, but pixelling is not involved in what he did. I suppose now I'll be accused of protecting him now but so be it. He didn't commit the crime he has been banned for.
Sepp often parks a wespe on the ridge to the right from the axis base far enough forward where both south and west flags are visible. the city is visible from the same position. The city flag on aberdeen only server has been moved to the middle of the city road. A wespe can be aimed to pass between the houses and kill any inf attempting to take the city. a few hits will also kill a tank. No pixelling required. I've done both myself. I kinda wish the flag was still in the house so I catch inf trying to take the city when I take the north flag on Allies first minutes. A few shots from north will often kill the inf jumping out of a tank and trying to enter the flag house. Just ask Canadian about that :=)
I agree with deeko. It’s not pixelling if you can see the fall of shots. From that ridge or behind the city it’s easy to tell where the shot s land. It’s not pixelling. Same with the ridge to the south flag and west flag.
The lag is there wired (as I am) or Wi-Fi
Mine Never Lags, and I'm in Detroit Michigan (you know, the City who's Mayor needed a Presidential Pardon to get out of jail).
i only have this Game, RA2, Pokerstars, and Norton Premium loaded.
I still suggest looking into your Scheduler to see what backs up, saves, updates, or scans,
like Apple, A\V, Phone, music, Social Medias, Bloatware, etc...
schtasks command-line utility, Task Scheduler Summary or try Task Scheduler, Actions, Enable All Tasks History for a little while (eats up a lot of disk space quickly though).
Has anyone contacted the Server Host to inform them of this problem?
A rebuild is still suggested which also greatly speeds up a Computer too.
I'm 50 miles away from Detroit and my lag is terrible.
The lag does odd things like that. I've had times when I will jump backwards driving a tank. The dust kicked up shows in front of my tank instead of behind. I change kit and it changes back to the previous kit. I enter a vehicle and find myself outside the vehicle again. It's especially "fun" when in combat and I can't fire back or even move the turret to aim. This doesn't happen on Moongamers or Great Escape. Even AX works just fine when anyone is there. It's still happening (just checked) so the changes on the 3rd didn't help. Maybe the later changes?
The problem on Simple servers isn't confined to 1 person. The excessive lag and freezing is experienced by multiple people in multiple locations. It's been happening since at least early December. The affected users are mostly USA and Canada, but there is at least one player in Turkey experiencing the same lag. In fact, Prix (in Turkey) will be hit by the freezing and lag at exactly the same time as it hits me. None of these people are using the same Internet service. Something changed back in December or earlier and not at any of the affected locations.
Very nice job. I even called my wife in to see it. She agrees...
I get autowarned for saying, "Zoom cocktail party" on many a Saturday.
Looks like he was justified in banning you for this, Frenchy. Temper, Temper. I'd have at least kicked you for it. Besides, it's never a smart move to antagonize the admin...
I get autowarned frequently for saying I want to leave the server now to go to a Zoom "cocktail hour"

Saw this yesterday while passing through Dunkirk Ohio, about 60 miles away.
God or no God this is hilarious... and Impressive work.
Yes I am still around long after arcor has passed on to the great game server in the sky. I just never get tired of Aberdeen :-)
I don't kick or ban Deeko because my understanding is he is allowed to play on Simple servers. Believe me when I say I've spec-ed him many times while I was incognito and as Cicero. I haven't seen anything but skilled play. I kick or ban people when I catch them actually breaking rules or I have well trusted testimony from regular players.
What occurred was trash-talking the admin. The question is whether that is a rule broken or not. My opinion is that trash talking (except for excessive obscenity or racist remarks) should not be an offense to be punished for. When it goes on seemingly forever and disrupts the use of the chat function to communicate with team members, THEN it's time for a warning and kick or brief ban if it's repeated.
I don't think V should have been kicked for arguing but at least Playerf2/grassie didn't ban V for days or weeks for a relatively minor offense like I see other admins have done.
I am most concerned with maintaining the small number of players we have and not driving away the new players, but true disrupters need to go. V, I will bail and mine you and anyone else when it benefits my team. Team victory is my in-game goal, always. Accept it when grassie takes you down with a mine. It's part of the game.
Sorry, but the real solution is don't break the rules ANYWHERE!!! Other players just want to play the game and rule breakers are disrupting everyone's play. Do you drive through red traffic lights when no one is around? Do you steal things from stores when no one is looking? Server rules are there to protect everyone. Breaking them deliberately hurts everyone at one time or another. If there is no admin present, the rules still apply to everyone.
And no, if anyone wonders, it wasn't me who banned him from tanks a lot. On the other hand, if I was an admin on AX I would ban you from there until you behave. Let other players enjoy their game and stop screwing up the game for the other players. It's not funny to anyone but you and shouldn't be funny to you either.
Thanks. I'll tell him if I see him again.
A player going by Alleyezonme asked me why and for how long he was banned from the main server today. He says he was on a "boat" but not steering when the ship turned 360 degrees. Then he was banned. Map was Wake. He says he is an old player coming back to the game. He doesn't know who banned him.
!bassholishness Trump Make it a perm for life
I saw that happen (I did not do it) but I thought it was our stealth admin. Maybe not...
As of this writing, only 6+1 "electoral college" votes are needed for Biden/Harris to win.
Sorry to ask this but, just like the rest of the world, does popular vote aren't enough in the US national elections?
The US has what is called an "Electoral College". The population of each state votes for president and the winner in each state gets all (supposed to) of the electoral votes for their state. Far too often (imho) the winner of the popular vote loses because of the electoral votes. Twice since 2000.
how old are you ? 60 ? 65 ?
a typical telltale sign of old grumpy eccentric geezers, is that they use a lot of exclamation marks ! ! !
to show that theyre real angry !!!!!!
and really really mean it !!!!!!!!
Hey!!!!!!! I resemble that remark!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Still ridiculous spawn times today. Makes the game a lot of sit around and wait. I don't like the center of the road flag either but it won't slow it down like the time changes. It will make it less interesting. It takes nerve to take the city in the building and infantry skills. It's a tank map but it's more inclusive if there are places where infantry can play too.
If it was another admin they need to do it. I even have to ask Tuia or someone to unban when I've banned someone in the past by accident. (Clumsy typer) That might be the best way to go like Vertigo said earlier.
I am admin there but I wasn't logged in, yet when this happened. Not sure why Floplop would be banned. I never see him play disruptively. Maybe he's a bit negative in chat but who isn't sometimes?
The pads have not been returned to their normal settings. The game is still slower than it used to be. When will this be fixed? There was nothing wrong with the original speed of repair.
