I agree Serebro.
The only other thoughts are- make the teamkiller take the same amount of damage as they inflict. In my mind this would 100% solve the problem, however from my experience, the issue with this approach is engineers would receive damage if their mine was hit by a friendly. From what I was told, rectifying this situation is not possible with a server mod, it would also require a client map download.
Perhaps I'm incorrect.
Auto-kick all bailers.
Excellent idea. Bailing is the cowards way out.
Fernando consistently does nothing in the game but talk- rarely kills or scores points.
I think he's just here to cause trouble.
You need to be careful running a XP machine exposed on the web. I don't think the XP machine will be online very long before it's under full scale attack.
Certainly, if all you are planning to do with the machine is play Battlefield, it may be an acceptable risk.

Interesting, are you hoping to shoutcast or something?
No- I only use the microphone in Teamspeak with our small player group.
I had been receiving constant complaints about my sound setup- Over the last few years I have used four different headsets with microphones- and no matter how much money is spent- the complaints continue. I'm at a total loss as to what to try next.
The new Hyperx Quadcast 2 is my last ditch effort to solve the sound issue- the strange thing is- most Teamspeak users say my sound is fine- How can the sound be good for some users and sound so terrible for others?
We have finally resolved our Teamspeak sound issue- we finally noticed that when one particular user entered the TS channel- my microphone sound volume would suddenly become lower to another particular user (Not the one who entered and triggered the problem)- however not to the other users in the channel- this made me curious- I reviewed the user permissions and noticed that the user that was triggering the issue had no admin privileges. I elevated this user up to the same permission levels as all the other users and the microphone low sound problem instantly was resolved.
Never underestimate the power of deductive reasoning.
I have no idea why this was causing a problem or why assigning admin corrected the problem-
Most mods are misguided attempts to correct a perceived shortcoming or flaw in the map. Rarely does a mod achieve any improvement. It's reminds me of the saying- one step forward and two steps backwards.
InguiringMind, yeah, if playing sniper on Aberdeen is possible, I'm glad to hear, but without map modifications it would be even more enjoyable. As things currently stand, trying to capture the middle flag on this map is not a skill game, but the game of luck, with shells flying all over the middle town.
Also, I'd suggest two additional tweaks:
- get rid of these constant map votes...
- create a TeamSpeak server for voice communication & better immersion
We are only guest here- without input on how the maps are modded of how the server is operated.
Sadly, if the map is really not to my taste, I simply disconnect for the night and try again the next day.
Everyone has a different idea as to what maps they like, and I respect their choices.
I'm not a tank guy- I will generally play as a sniper on this map- it's difficult due the distance from spawn areas to the areas of likely enemy engagement- and also the lack of cover- again, It's not a map I like, however i can have a fairly good game and get a number of kills as a sniper, and minimize the number of times I would if I was playing another class, like engineer or bazooka.
Give the sniper class a try and get way away from the action and practice the long shots- when they do land a kill, it is rewarding.
Would it be possible to remove the plane cockpit view from the "c key cycle". As it is, most or all players prefer the nosecam. Front, rear and cinematic views are useful, but having to double tap to to get past the cockpit view is kind of annoying. Not to mention, there's sometimes a bug where the nosecam gets skipped and you have to cycle through all the views a few times to get back to it. Thank you for your work so far whether this is possible or not.
If there is anyone among us that can do something to eliminate the cockpit view- I will reward you for your effort $$$-
I hope this offer will entice someone with the skills to work on a solution to this request.
Guess I have to step up... will be 75 on 10/6
Sadly we are all getting older- I just turned 60. I'm too old to play newer games, my reflexes are to slow, and the games are too complicated- I don't want to spend endless hours trying to figure out what my player looks like, or what he will wear in battle.
I seem to remember Frenchy also played on the Oz Wake server also- he was a good player, and always played fairly. may he rest in peace.
Rest in peace , dear Frenchy.
It was nice for me been exploded on his 10 xpax in one pile, or when he put 5 mines on my tank, then go far away fearing an explosion, but not noticing that he’s alrdy in radius of my tank mg , was cute to watch him just walk towards to you from sides or back, been sure that you couldn't see him, often I didn't even kill him, just sweetly looked at his moving , how he puts 5 mine on my tank , how put 800 xpax, on city flag pole, then go in ammo house to hide , when i was figured that he’s so old, I often let him kill me, given him rejoice to kill
I think we’ve an older player named klausvon dudenhofen he’s 75 or 76
You are a true gentleman- It is so nice to see a skilled player use restraint- and allow others to have a chance for a enjoyable game.

When I was growing up, If you started a fight, you couldn't complain about the outcome-
It is a sad situation, however It could have been predicted, however I do think the response from Israel was underestimated. Has the kill ratio exceed 50 to 1 at this point?

If you mess with the bull, don't complain when you get the horn.
I have reached out to Henk- hopefully he will reply soon.
He definitely provides a valuable service to the community.
Hopefully it will be back online soon.

The Precision Pro 2 is a USB stick and has no issues with Windows 10.
This Joystick has the distinct advantage of using Hall Effect sensors, rather than the typical potentiometers.
Hall Effect sensors do not suffer from drift. The stick and flight path stay perfectly centered.I paid about $20 US plus shipping for my stick.
Now if I could just learn to fly- I would be all set.Hah, funny but mine will also be a Microsoft but a SideWinder Force Feedback 2 model. I asked Dr. Zoidberg what he uses and after briefly reading about it made a purchase. Also ordered it from ebay.
Never used one before and I'm not expecting much, but will be fun to try it out. We can arrange some test flights to share configs/ideas.
We travel in the same circle. The force feedback stick uses the same technology for tracking. I think you will like it, after you get accustomed to it. It does however require a light touch compared to a potentiometer type.
It is however a shame that games including Battlefield 1942 don't properly support the force feedback feature. There would have been so many cool things that force feedback could have been used for, such as indicating a stall condition, or even bullet impacts on your plane. (Bullet impacts wouldn't really apply much to you- since you are seldom hit)
Mostly kb.
Joystick is finally ordered and will arrive in 2 weeks ...

Anything that would reduce the long wait for planes would be good.
I had a lot of fun tonight playing on this map tonight. I'm enjoying learning to fly the planes. This map really works wells for training due to the ample supply of planes.
I know that players all have their favorite types of maps. Some like tanks, some like planes and some like mixtures. I personally enjoy flying and don't really care for tanks. I do however enjoy and old favorite- Wake Island that has both. What I don't particularly care for is a map with tanks and infantry only. I'm not a Berlin or Stalingrad guy- my aging reflexes are not able to keep up. Same for Omaha Beach- all I can do it try to snipe.
Is there any possibility of having a server that only runs maps that have planes?
I do realize that there needs to be enough players to populate a server- and dividing the player base over another server, would likely result is fracturing the player base even further.
I guess I'm a little biased towards maps with planes- I played when the game was new- stepped away for a long time and came back when life's circumstances allowed it.
Now I'm trying to learn to fly- it's a slow go, compounded by maps with a lack of planes compared to players wanting to fly. This leads to long plane waits, and undesirable behavior from players waiting for planes. Probably a lot like real life- long lines lead to short tempers.
I wish the map had a lot more planes. It's crazy to have so many people waiting for so few planes. I noticed that planes we being used as taxi vehicles also.

LOL
We never could figure out a way to remedy this-
This was a server side mod- that didn't require a map download- perhaps more could be accomplished with a full server/map modDid you try to configure the holdObject command? This might work: https://bfmods.com/mdt/scripting/Object … bject.html
The very talented developer Henk was doing the mod- I don't know what method he was employing. He worked on it for a while and determined it was not possible- without requiring players to download a map.
An AA position on the Axis carrier deck would alleviate the nuisance loop bombers I believe.
Henk did a couple of other interesting things with the Axis carrier that are no longer being used. On the original Oz Wake server park bombing is really a problem- there are certain players who make it their life's work to park bomb the carrier at the start of a match and sink the carrier in 15 seconds.
There were a couple approaches employed to mitigate this behavior:
(1) When an enemy plane landed on the carrier deck or flew lower than one meter above the carrier deck, the plane and it's contents were destroyed.
(2) If an enemy player parachuted on the carrier deck- he was free to cause any mayhem that brought him pleasure- but if he entered a axis plane on the deck- he was immediately terminated.
As you can imagine- these changes 100% solved the problems- with an unintended consequence- players hated this new game behavior.
Reluctantly- this new carrier protection behavior was removed, and talking to offending players to try to have them modify their behavior was reinstated. As expected, counseling offenders has had little effect on correcting their behavior.
Like the literally hundreds of other empty servers, Oz Wake 2 stands empty 99.999% of the time.
It stands as a testament to my good intentions gone awry.

WOW- I'm almost speechless.
This uninstaller can actually force uninstall Microsoft Edge.
This is not a trivial task.
I 100% recommend this uninstaller.
Thanks for posting
Ryan has returned. The review process works.
Many thanks
Thank you- I will look into the app more.
Lol
Hopefully this will be resolved- Ryan is a good guy- and really enjoys playing on Simple, and as you know, finding a good server to play on is getting more difficult by the day. It seems that players are disappearing into the ether- not to play on another server- but to likely play other games.
