A really old dusty Logitech Headset smile

Perhaps you can repair yours. It's only a loose connection.

http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/w … adset-h800

I have a pair of these wireless Logitech H800's.  After two years they're still running as well as they did when they were new.  They probably don't give the range of sound as some bigger, wired "cans", but I hate having wires and cords around my PC, so my headphones, keyboard, and mouse are all wireless.  They have a built-in mic too.

The one's I bought were a lot cheaper than the ones advertised above.

Re: Headphones/Mic

Plantronics DSP 500. $30ish. Very nice headset which isn't made anymore. It is USB and has a volume and mute on the cord. Mine are probably 8 years old and they sound very nice. Google it or check out something like Ebay. Win 8.1 and later it works straight away. I am not sure about Vista and Win 7. I think you may need drivers if the OS doesn't detect it.

*edit* I noticed some do not have the fuzzy on the end of the mic. It's probably best you find one with it included.

It depends if you need 5.1 or virtual surround.

I prefer Analog connectors.

Re: Headphones/Mic

Want good positioning - gamer headphones
Want good music - studio headphones
Want to mute wife yelling - earplugs
Want them to be handy - 3,5 mm jack
Want quick connection with pc - USB.
Want the to stick with you till you dead - modular cables and interchangeble ear pads

Sup to you. smile

P.S. I use Shure SRH440 as a universal unit.

Many of all those Surround headsets are Virtual Surround headsets. The positioning is the thing what counts at the end and this jobs isn't done good by all headsets.

The Sony Headset 2.0 is very good. But me i guess i would have an eye on the SENNHEISER PC 360 specially if you have a dedicated soundcard, but the new mainboards/Laptops sound is also not bad.

...

Fail... the Sony headset 2.0 is very good for Playstations, but not PC.

Re: Headphones/Mic

For gaming, skip all things wireless. For bf42 skip all surround thingys. Other then that i cant realy recomend any specific brand. I have one set called monoprice witch have good sound for its price, but it doesnt have any microphone.
