Serve: Either 64.120.56.204:14567 or 168.235.75.198:14567 (sorry for uncertainty of which server, It was a SiMPLE server, but when I looked a server list its seems I was in the one starting with 64.120, but may have been the 168.235)

To explain, I was starting a game on Market Garden and got into the pilot of the bomber, then as I was just beginning to pick up off the ground and turn I was banned for taxiing a plane, which to be completely honest seems uncalled for since I was not taxiing at all but just taking off. I really enjoy playing BF 1942 and this was my favorite server, I'm really hoping I can be un-banned since I truly do not know why I was banned in the first place. Also I have logged over 120 hours of game play on this server so I've been committed to this server and I know the rules well and never would have done anything to ban myself. I hope you can find my appeal understandable.

Hi,

It's a one day ban for using a vehicle as a taxi. So you must have drove to the B-17. The message is quite clear in the server do not use any vehicle as a taxi at anytime. The admin involved will handle anything further. If no response from them( ie un-banning you early) it will expire same time tomorrow.

Thank you, I was so confused, thought the taxiing was referring to the way I drove the plane, but I get it now, Ill make sure not to use the vehicles to get to planes unfairly anymore. It was a legit mistake, wouldn't have done it if I had know I was braking that rule

Are you sure?...not to bang you on the head but...if you have that amount of playing time on the USA server how on earth could you miss this:

1) -- DO NOT TAXI to vehicles or planes --
2) DO NOT USE VEHICLES OF ANYKIND AS TAXI"S
3) -- DO NOT TAXI to vehicles or planes --
4) DO NOT USE VEHICLES OF ANYKIND AS TAXI"S
5) -- DO NOT TAXI to vehicles or planes --

So that is exactly how many times "do not use a vehicle as a taxi" flashes in server. Every 3 minutes a different message flashes to all players. There are 60 messages total, including repeats like above. So in 180 minutes or 3 hours, all players are flashed 60 messages of which 5 times it says "do not taxi" in one form or another.

So at 120 hours of playing here you have been barraged over 200 times with "do not taxi" alone. How many times during your 120+ hours did you see warnings and kicks/bans for the same?

In an effort to prevent your situation, the !wtaxi command was issued two seconds before we spawned.

The US server has just two Sherman tanks in base. One player took his to the battlefield,
yet you drove the other to the B17.

Please do not waste resources like that, since we have so few to begin with.

Yes, Vertigo absolutely issued the warning before the game started. I Bomb You drove the SHERMAN to the B17, and go in right before me.

Please, think about your other team mates, like the one walking to the plane and the one that could have used the Sherman for our efforts.

I'm leaning towards this player not being honest. Therefore...be warned, an infraction of the rules going forward will result in more than a day ban. We contend that veterans should know better and if they break the rules it's not an accident..... but by design.

You knew full well taxiing a Sherman to the B-17 and passing up a player that RAN the whole way was wrong...but you jumped into the B-17 in front of him anyway. I call BS on you bud. It's players like you that know better and skirt the rules that disrupt the game for players that follow the rules. Some think we at SiMPLE are too lenient regarding the penalties involved. We are with honest players.

Your 1 day has been extended upon the time you can explain yourself to my satisfaction.

The rules are to make it a good experience for all. Why is it good to move a tank away from its spawn and abandon it? It's not. It's selfish.

How is my apologizing for making a mistake turned into me being dishonest? I was genuinely apologizing for just making a mistake, and I was in no way whatsoever asking for my 1 day ban to be removed, Once PitViper explained it I understood the mistake and was totally expecting of the punishment. If I was argumentative and saying I should not have been given that 1 day ban I can understand, but I appealed because I was legitimately ignorant to the taxiing rule. Now it may seem dumb to you guys that I was unaware with how much time I've played on the server, but sometimes people just don't notice things, I was at the point in which I thought I was fully aware of the rules and had not been paying nearly as much attention to the messages on the sides. I hope you guys can realize your kinda of going after the wrong guy here, I made a mistake out of ignorance of the rule, and I am still admitting ignorance of the rule is no excuse and that my 1 day was totally acceptable. I have no reason to be dishonest, If I had know replying to say thank you for clarifying the rules would have lead to you concluding I was being dishonest I would have avoided responding all together. I hope you guys see I'm really just trying to be legit with yall.

As far as not knowing the rule... It's not about being argumentative...if you think after 120 hours of playing here that using a tank to taxi is OK because you didn't know better.

Well ok then, there isn't much else I can say at this point. I made a mistake, even agreed I should still be punished with a 1 day band, and I never said it was OK for me to be taxiing... I am not sitting here trying to justify it at all. I literally was confused on the ban originally so i appealed and then thanked you once you explained it, I really don't get why this has turned into this.

The thing here is not that you made a mistake. It's how you say you did. You type nice enough but since you don't seem to get it I'll explain more.

Here is what I was looking for.,

You: Hey guys...I knew better than to taxi that Sherman to the B-17... I was impatient and just said wtfe and went for it.

Us: Yes it's frustrating on that map with such a great distance to planes and almost no spawns next to them...we hate it too but as of now you have to walk....please follow the rules...you are good to go.

I can see where you coming from, and I just hope you understand I do see the error in taxiing, I was just rushing to get into planes and in doing so I did waste resources moving the sherman and unfairly getting to the plane quicker. I said it in a previous post and I do mean it I learned my lessons don't intent on doing it again.
