So we get up Sunday morning to 22 degrees Fahrenheit. Solid frost. Bird baths frozen. Then during the afternoon we get snow. Heavy snow for a while but the ground has not frozen yet so it eventually melted. North of us, in New York in the Adirondacks, they received 9" of the white stuff yesterday. Get up this morning and it is 19 degrees Fahrenheit. Even the garden pond frozen surface. Last Winter here in New England USA, we had the record cold for the longest period. We received just under 100" of snow over the entire season. Almost 4 feet had fallen by February. Not a record but not too far away either. We have had three years in a row of more snow than average. A couple of 24" storms and one over 30" and one 34" storm.
We have not seen any signs of "warming" here at all. Quite the opposite. However I know other parts of the USA have been warmer. Parts of Europe and Middle East have been warmer too. How have you folks been faring with the "climate change" in the last few years? Waxing the skiis tonight!!!!! Come on over and lets do some runs!

22 degrees Fahrenheit
4 feet
and one over 30"
today was sunny and 15 by celsius, it would be 59 by fahrenheit here. but only if we wouldnt have a sane measure of scales ofc
It's supposed to get down to 73 fahrenheit (23 celsius) today so I am getting ready for these chilly temps. Hopefully, any waxing that occurs will be
prior to the immersion.....

I thought the Ukraine was damned cold and deep snows in the Winter. Hoping the Global Warming is not rearing its ugly head as some are predicting.

Last month we had a few days in the 20's at night. Then early last week it got up to 80 during the day! Then on last Thursday/Fiday we had snow. Like 6 inches maybe but it all melted during the day when temps rose and it started to rain. I was driving in it Friday morning to school and then it was little flurries when I drove back home.It was nice today though! Sunny and 65!
We get like an average of 300 inches/25ft of snow during winter (for us Oct/Nov to May). So it's really not a big thing
Where do you live to have THAT much snow in the USA??? Passes all the extra good weather we have to spare.

current temp here 31deg cel which is 88 farenheit and its not even fully summer yet
Pretty mild...we've had some nice warm days in the mid 20s lately (aussies will laugh at that)....harder to enjoy with gale force winds though.
I had NO idea you folks get that much snow where you are. I sure hope you have GOOD snow tires for driving to and from school. **Passes the studs**
:-)

About zero here, no snow this week unlike the previous one. The weather is good. Autumn.
So its Russia so far with the coldest (***brrrrrr...**) and snow in Autumn already too. Hoping when it gets snowy there we see you more on Simple BF field.
With all we have heard about global warming and climate change, I was expecting some folks to tell me, this is where the higher temperatures have been experienced. In 2008 is when Al Gore told us the entire Polar Ice cap would be gone, melted in 5 years. And we were told the Summer Ice in the Arctic would be gone by 2013. Its difficult to honestly know what the truth is. When we were kids in High School, back in the 70s, the Ice Age was going to be returning in a few decades and they scared the Hell out of us kids. After all it was written in our science books we took home every night. So today, its hard to know what is really happening. Hence the crux of this thread. Aside from Australia, I see more cold than warm. I expect to see more of the other. I guess I am (again) gullible..........

actualy, for last decades its getting warmer here, winters now are not like they were before, some years ago it was +5 (41) at new year eve and no snow fell for whole season, 20 years ago nobody would belive its possible with out climat, winters were cold and last from november to march -20 was normal, now -10 (14) considered cold as hell, not sure if this is global warming or winds trails have shifted, but i like it)

Then, what's the point of playing? of being? of existence? sigh... ;(

The place I live is not actually cold and the weather is pretty comfortable. It's very far from the North-East where it's really cold.

Come on over mate. I was born and raised in Sydney so I'm a bit of both
Regarding "global warming" comments... over the past 5 years we've had a number of record droughts, rainfall and flooding. Snow here in Otago doesn't often fall at sea level and if it does it rarely sets. I'm at about 300m above sea level and had about 4 decent snowfalls over the past 4-5 months... settling for about half the day at the farm and 2-4 days on the surrounding hills.
That's about as bad as it seems to get.....when I head over to Oz to visit family I can barely stand the heat even in the colder months lmao Dunedin will do that to ya
