The second rule of the Server Rules states, "The previous basecamping/basebombing rule does not apply to Battle of Britain map and Capture the Flag (CTF) maps."
OK, I understand that the whole point of the Battle of Britain map is to bomb the enemy base (at least for the Axis), but camping by people not even in planes is rampant on this map here, and in my opinion it ruins the whole game. Why is it considered desirable to have Allied players bail over the Axis airfield, run into the JU-88 inside the hangar, and camp there spawn-killing people for most of the game? How is that a good game?
Coral Sea is just as bad. People on both sides in EVERY game I've ever played here bail over the enemy carrier pretty much throughout the entire game. Yet when I've complained in-game I've been told that it is allowed on that map. I certainly don't see it listed as an exception in the Server Rules. Midway is not quite so bad, but I still hear the excuse that the carriers are not uncapturable bases, so it's OK. Either way, I've never in all my studying of WW II history heard of battles in which people were running around on enemy ships laying mines and shooting gunners in the back, and it makes for lousy game play whatever the rule actually means.
In my opinion people should have to stay off the bases/ships unless they are still in a plane. Is there any chance of clarifying or changing the rules to stop this type of activity?
you left out axis overrunning the beach at iwo jima and axis on the beach at Omaha; however, it is allowed in both places as well as battle of Britain.
I vote for eliminating the frickin sirens at allied factories/airports on bob.

how to stop reinforcements from your enemy and save lives.
Bad side of this your teammate can kill you by mistake of thinking.

Well, the Battle of Britain has no "death bubble" over the Axis base. Taking into account the lack of balance and 90% chance of Axis victory, it's not that bad. Also, the Axis usually bail out over the Allied territory and shoot everything from Allied machine- and AA-guns.
The main purpose of both sides at Coral Sea is to destroy the carriers by all available mean. Since the carrier is not an uncapturable point, you can bomb and bail out over it again and again, to reap death and chaos at the enemy's runway. The more planes you destroy with mines and expacks, the less they get to take off.

I agree that Coral Sea is about destroying the enemy carriers, and I know you can't get anything close to total realism on a game like this, but with the current situation it's not anything resembling the real battle. All we can do is try to eliminate that which obviously destroys the realism, whether by server configuration or server rules.
I disagree that the carrier is not an uncapturable point. It is a spawn point (the ONLY spawn points on this map are on the carriers), and it is not capturable.
By the way, I remembered an anecdote from WW2 about a carrier crew being ordered to stand by to repel boarders, and was able to find an account of Japanese planes almost landing mistakenly on the USS Yorktown during the Battle of Coral Sea: http://tacairnet.com/2014/01/09/wrong-ship-sherlock. They didn't actually land, however.

Yeah, this makes my point.

Yes I did, and I would prefer rules against both of those as well. Shoot onto the beach, fine, but don't actually go onto it.
I agree about the sirens too. Maybe a different thread on that would be appropriate.

On Battle of Britain, if you have problem people at the axis spawn point, you just spawn at the stukas or carrier, come out, and take care of them.
As far as coral sea, again, there are actually multiple spawn points. I haven't run into any borders that I haven't been able to take care of by choosing the proper class, and spawning at the right point. The serious problems on coral come from loop bombers that are at near max alt, and the AA gun nearest the carrier. But both are valid techniques for the map however.
On Iwo, if the beach is getting hammered, just spawn on the destroyer or carrier and come in via boat or plane. The more players there are hammering the beach, the less there are defending other points.
