Berlin and Stalingrad

Hi all.

I wondered about the maps Stalingrad and Berlin : What about switching tanks from Stalin to Berlin for a try.
I mean, during an event or a day or a week... there will be a tank for both teams in Berlin, and none in Stalingrad... simply.

The same for grenades/xpacks/mines...

What you think about ?

So if you are nearing the end of the war, certainly it would be good to switch tanks from Stalingrad to Berlin for a better defense of Berlin ... smile A switch and will last longer than seven days.
I agree, and would even suggested returning to Berlin vanilla CTF instead this modification with a lot of jeeps

Since we played clanwar on un_berlin it had tanks and nades...and it sucked sad

Yes great idea, I think Berlin also needs a few Tigers, some Defguns and of course, more machineguns. Why not add one or two B17s for the Russians too while you're at it?

Stop kidding. I'm just suggesting ideas. I thought *think = something that many should do before speaking* about the fact that these maps are inf maps. In one, we've put a tank, in the other, we've put none.

Maybe some players want a tanks in Berlin. Maybe some players don't want any tank in Stalingrad. We can mod berlin with german uncap flag.

But if the consensus gives a "If it looks like shit, if it smells like shit, then I won't taste before saying that's shit."

Then no problem. Berlin is a map where inf can hide, and it's not a comfortable map for tanks...

If you add tanks you would have to add nades and I wouldn't see that as a good effort since it's very easy to baselock the russians in that case and speaking of the people who would by mistake throw nades into their main or very close to it, would only cause chaos.

One tank on each side and no nades/expacks could work though.

I think Berlin is  perfect without Tanks. If you add 1 at eachside aner the Allied one however gets into the Hands of the Germans you will hardly be able to leave the base aswell. It's already hard enough to get through the other "small way" but it also depends on the players in the server ofc.

I can remember 1 strange idea on Netorn server on Berlin, russians have 1 katyusha on base but they can't move it out. Nades was disabled, so 1 way to kill it - use zooka.

Well, I have to admit it would be a bit chaotic. But hard to imagine tanks without nades. I dealt with 1 tank/1 nade, like Stalingrad. Mines ok.

Most people here are accustomed to this kind of modification of Berlin and Stalingrad so hard to bring some innovation or return to the vanilla maps. I would say that the variety of soldiers such as an engineer or zooker on these maps with these modifications almost forgotten, or almost useless. Why? Because most likes to choose medic and likes to accumulate as many murders and why he on his way to fame stands some hard tanker or engineer with dynamite?

Generally nades are good but it will only cause chaos in such small maps like Berlin, especially on a crowded server like simple. People dies all the time so one nade instead of three would'nt really be a significant change. Beginners doesn't really think when they play, it's not random that you're gettin teamkilled by a grenade. Although it would be pretty cool if it was only one tank at each side, it would basically be battle of the two tanks and of course last but not least the zook guys.
