Look to the sky!

To those who live in the northern hemisphere... so like all of you lol...A big solar storm is coming! It won't hit us like directly but it will go above the Earth. BUT! It will still hit us e ith enough stuff to cause northern lights more spectacular than usual! People further south may be able to see them too!!

I saw very faint auroras at dawn this morning (US EST TIME!).  I see them a lot here but not usually at sunrise like this morning. Sometimes only flashes but this was different but not great. But tonight through Saturday could be really good!

Most will see the good stuff before i do. So Do you or did you see anything over there? What about power problems? There are not many radio stations here so the few we have are usually a little staticky when this happens but sattelite radios like XM/Sirius and dish TV can get really choppy.

But remember! The beauty is awesome.  But it can also causie damage to power and gps stuff! Be careful!

Did you see any auroras?

  1. Yes
  2. No
  3. Too cloudy/foggy :(

Tonight is supposed to best time for this part of the world. I'm hoping clouds stay away. It'll be cold but seeing them is worth it!

Re: Look to the sky!

There is a guy in the area who takes photos to make calenders and poster pictures of the aurora's and different scenery stuff. This is a video and photos from two places he made from Thursday. Too cloudy to get any of the more awesome stuff from the solar storm sad
