Speech change

Hi all,
I'm new on this forum, but not at the game.
I don't play on your servers (I will sometimes, I promise ) butI think this one of the best places where to ask this question:

I'm Italian and I got the expansion packs on your site and I'd like to know if I can use Italian dialog when the "English dialog" option is checked.

Look for the following entries ...

And change the following entries

"LANGUAGE"="Italian"
"LANGUAGEID"=dword:00000010
"REGSTR"="00000410

It can be, that one of the 410 values is not right. If you have other games in italian, perhaps BF2, search those values in the Registry, (perhaps other EA Games).

OriginBF1942 has Multilanguage support, so i think also the Retail Version. In other words, i guess it's working with the right values.

If you have no entries in your registry, i can fix this in 2-3 Minutes over Teamviewer. In case you need help, write a PM.

Edit : I changed one italian code, i guess, it's the right one now.

Perhaps there's one code wrong, bec. Speech is english or german in my game. Ask an Italian for the right code, (if you do that, you ask him, if he has italian language inGame) Otherwise i can tell you, that the german Speech is much better, then the english.

Otherwise dl the "Batllefield WW2 Anthology" and install it in italian. (this is including Addons). But then you have to install also the patches.

Arkos, thank you for the fast answer to my question but it seems I have explained badly my question, I'm not looking for the game translation in Italian (I'm already playing in Italian) but I'm asking if there is a way to use Italian voice commands as the english ones when you select the option "English dialog" ( last option in second page of sound settings )

Yes, i saw that...

Ask an italian, if he/her has the italian speech. If yes, it's easy to change it.

Otherwise i recommend to try german dialog. it's much less annoying then the english/japanese dialogs.

It's possible, but you'll have Italian instead of US English even with "English dialog" unchecked. Other languages won't be affected
