I'll personally call this Battlefield 5, since it looks incredibly similar to BF3 and 4, and contains most of the elements from those games; Batllelog, Frostbite 3, same look, same weapons, same gameplay, same GUI, and so forth.

This is the final step into copying the lame CoD franchise and business model with an annual blockbuster release.

Approximately five years ago, EA made a plan to create their own Call of Duty-like franchise. Sadly, They set their eyes on the Battlefield series. Two years between BF3 and 4, one between 4 and 5, the transition has been completed.

It may be BF5, BF4,5 or whatever. It's hard to predict the future. This is a big new game in the series. Vietnam, 2142 and others never got their own number; i.e. 2,3,4 etc. even though they could be considered as big as 1942 and BF2.

There may never come another BF game called BF5, even though I say it's likely that a game released by EA in fall 2015 will be named that. Proper name for BF4 could be BF9, BF Hardline - BF10, etc.

Exactly, looks like a mix of Call of Duty, GTA and Battlefield. This is what happens when vidgames go mainstream, they start to cater to 12 year old console kids with ADHD.

Damn, what happened to BF series? This game has nothing to do with it... Modders showed a good way with mods like EoD, Forgotten Hope, Project Reality... large maps, realistic atmosphere, lots of vehicles, etc. Instead of this they made a fast-paced infantry game like CoD...

What makes it even worst is that you can not find any clan competition with this newer bfs, ESL had some competition in bf3 and it lasted for maybe a year, then bf4 came out and they probably have competitions for bf4 now. For example there is rarely a bf3 clan that you can find nowadays (and game is like 2 years old?) , most of bf3 clans went to play bf4, when new bf comes out, everyone will go to new bf. This games cant make a decent community or a competition, or if there are any, they last till new bf comes out etc.
