Possible way of map downloader
I saw a topic some time ago about a "auto map downloader" when people join in a custom message would appear like: Map not installed do you want to download it? Well I might know something to guide you in the right direction if you didn't already know, but in bf1942 there is a "rent a server option right? Didn't that link you to a website a long time ago? And when you join a server which is running a different version it says something like: Wrong version do you want to update? It should take you to a website too right?
(Correct me if im wrong)
Maybe if we take a look into the file where this function is stored in we might find a way to make a message pop up when someone is missing a map saying: map missing you want to download? And then it takes you to this website.
This is probably unlikely to happen because of getting that message to the clients but who knows

Dmn ! You are right !
Its like when playing in counter strike 1.6/ when u dont have certain map u could download it directly from server without leaving game.
But ur idea rocks!

Thats why i don't play mod event days.. if i had auto dl i would play it.

If possible rather make it that server have auto map downloader. I don't have time to instal all the time maps and mods

Well, i do not have a clue for it, but i remember that NBN Classic ( The russian public server) had somethign like that.
