Re: Ukraine demonstrations

armed radikals are bad side, all others are victims, lumpens are ok, the bosses are on smart side..
or: armed people are fighters for freedom, they should be feeded by cookie, and others are either bad or dont exist, and ofc Russia is center and causer of evil..

Russian speakers, Ukrainian speakers and Crimean Tatars lived almost in peace together for decade, didn't they ? So what has really happened ?

Do you think that a partition would be a good solution ?

I could only speak for myself. In spite of the fact that Ukrainian crisis doesn't impact me because I live in another country, I am interested in this and it gives me some kind of quiet but serious reflection. I don't watch the TV-series like "Beverly Hills, 90210", these Ukrainian TV-series are more interesting for me.

Re: Ukraine demonstrations

things are getting more serious - airport Simferopolu in Krim was taken by armed men this night. they say to media that they are here to defend in case if western "nacist radicals" decide to come in Krim. So, there is un-legit government in Ukraine and happening in Krim peninsula and Russia and west offering help to Ukraine. Something is not ok here, wander whats behind all of this, soon we will know.

Yes, it's not good. By the way, what's happening to Ukraine is happening like by the intercepted phone call of Victoria Nuland. smile

Re: Ukraine demonstrations

Three days ago, the interim government removed the law allowing the country’s regions to make Russian a second official language. Maybe trivial but meaningful.

Something that must be obvious to Ukrainian and Russian people, wasn't to me :

140228024524125939.png

Population of those whose mother tongue is Ukrainian in Ukraine

So the very large majority of the inhabitants of Crimea are Russian speakers. 12 % are Crimean Tatars.

It's very sensitive issue in Ukraine. I have never been to Ukraine but after all these news, researches and analysis of the Ukrainian crisis, I felt like I lived there for a long time. This map of languages is not correct I guess, because there is a third popular language in Ukraine. It's not Ukrainian, not Russian.

Re: Ukraine demonstrations

I have got a joke.

One Ukrainian guy wants to marry for love a Russian girl and asking his father for advice. His father is saying:

- At the wedding night when you will be together, take her in your arms to show that Ukraine is strong, get naked to show that Ukraine is beautiful and masturbate to show that Ukraine is independent...

Re: Ukraine demonstrations

The acting president of Ukraine said that he puts the army on high alert and asked NATO for help. Meanwhile, Putin got the permission of the Federal Council of Russian Federation to use army in Ukraine if they won't stop the violence.

Due to the extraordinary situation that has taken shape in Ukraine and the threat to the lives of citizens of the Russian Federation, our compatriots, and the personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation who are deployed on the territory of Ukraine (the Autonomous Republic of Crimea) under an international treaty, I hereby introduce, under Clause (g) of Part 1 of Article 2012 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, an appeal for the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine pending the normalization of the social and political situation in that country.

Joint and Minnesota, don't get me wrong but I recommend you to buy a lot of meal and plastic water to be on the safe side. I hope our army is there just to protect the referendum and there will be no violence.

I would say this question is very provocative. In Syria, we have no armed forces and this issue is about diplomacy, geopolitics, military supplies and other stuff that doesn't let the U. S. to invade there. The Federal Council of Russian Federation can't permit the Russian military invasion in Syria because Syria is not dangerous to us. Anyway, we should communicate with Syria and it's better to communicate with such a repressive president like Bashar Asad than with a group of Islamic terrorists, because they are very unpredictable in their politics. In Ukraine, we have army and fleet a long time, a lot of Russian-speaking people in Crimea who disagree with the Western Ukraine and their revolutionary government. It's the issue of military reinforcements, referendum and the Crimea status as a part of Ukraine, as a part of Russia or as a sovereign country.
