Re: Ukraine demonstrations

So, what is the real reason for this violent and deadly protests? Its very strange that all of this is happening only to make janukovich resign...

Regarding the matter that Joint lives in the country where people burn and kill each other for reasons of policy nowadays, this advice sounds a little bit stupid excessive.

There are some reasons I guess: Yanukovich resignation, EU integration, Nazism and democracy, mercenaries etc. As far as I understand, they have no common thread but they have to continue riots. You better ask Joint because I have never been to Ukraine and Ukraine is another country.

So the people who are doing the riots are people like Nazis or Mercenaries who want that Yanukovich person to resign? Hopefully the Nazis are the minority! Do the rioters want to be in the EU or does the govt want to and the rioters are against it?

Ive watched some documentary, and as far as i understood, Ukraine is split in 2 parts, eastern and western, some people support yanukovich(the eastern part i think) and western part is more for eu or for that lady in jail(opposition). Correct me if im wrong joint? As you live in Dnepropetrovsk i assume why you dont go out on demonstrations tongue It also has no sense to go there and loose head anyways.

But i dont understand why didnt Yanukovich resign already, he wants to end up a youtube hit like Gadaffi?

And i asked my mom, nothing was on tv here yesterday, maybe it will be today on.

Re: Ukraine demonstrations

good question, because small part of protesters are using deadly force (also using fire arms), this reminds me of something similar (but not the same) already seen in Syria (foreign "freedom" fighters liberating Syria).

Still, I do not understand reason for such violent protests, something bigger is behind this, west/Rus interests collides in Ukraine...

I am watching news right now, there are 64 dead bodies more in Kiev, 551 injured, 332 hospitalised, 67 hostages taken by radicals. It's only in Kiev and who knows how many in the whole Ukraine.

Re: Ukraine demonstrations

Today our stupid prime minister publicly asked Yanukovich to stop being a molly. Whatever is going to happen in Ukraine will happen, whether we worry or not, because the critical moment has been left behind and it's too late to do something. Anyway, I think that Russia should not interfere in this conflict because of information warfare. I don't want to watch so much lies in the Western media news about "bad Russians" like it was in Georgia in 2008 during the Olympics.

Re: Ukraine demonstrations

There are at least two scripts I guess, both are bad because Yanukovich is a political coward. He can put the riots down, this will lead to hundreds of casualties but it might help to prevent thousands in the future. In this case, there will be a lot of sanctions applied by the European Union. If Yanukovich will continue to be inactive, the whole country will be captured and all the rioters will be represented as "freedom fighters".

Re: Ukraine demonstrations

Also, the information war is going on and this episode with snipers is not so obvious. There are some versions of what is going on there.

iw6art.jpg

14smpt3.jpg

1. These snipers are the right-wing radicals, they kill the rioters to provoke the officials. Something is wrong with their tactics and uniform: they keep up a desultory fire and wear the uniform of the captured troops of the ministry of internal affairs, their shoes and arm-bands are not in accordance with the official uniform. The firearms might be taken from the captured storages in the Western Ukraine.

2. The snipers are the mercenaries sponsored by the Ukrainian government for a dirty job.

3. Some Ukrainian people think these snipers are Russians that came there to kill Ukrainians.

Re: Ukraine demonstrations

Its common process that west uses to eliminate head of state that does not comply to their request, scenario almost the same everywhere (Syria) - if they can not buy government, make chaos and destabilize country (Ukraine now) and if that doesn't work (Syria) they can always use military option and send occupying forces (Lybia partly only air support, but Iraq before that).

Even now EU/US says it will bring sanctions to Ukraine if they do not stop violence, heavily ignoring that part of "protesters" are armed and killing both police and civilians to provoke more violent protests.

Like nameles said -only two possible ways - end this violent protests by all means necessary, or comply with EU/US (step down and put pro-west government at head of state). The longer janukovich waits, more ppl will die.
