Hi,

Someone just set next Berlin without asking. We was on Bocage and the next map was Iwo Jima. Iwo Jima is good and we already played Berlin before...

Yes, it was a bad move. It's reasonable skipping some map for a reason, few players in a big map or a boring map, and use setnext map to jump over it.
Berlin had been played 2 rounds before and the maps would get repeated.

always look at the map rotation and choose the best suiting map that follows. Never choose one previous or players will end up at the same point.

Admin abuse, is changing the nornal transition of game line up, Your admins are out of control. I don't play here because there is to much "Ambiguity". All you people look it up and say I am not wrong?

Maybe we should try a vote system on the main server ? The setnext and runnext commands could be disable then.

I did skip iwo jima and set berlin cause i asked who is for skipping iwo jima and 5 or 6 of them said yes and no1 said no. Some admins change even when no1 says yes so..

If 6 ppl wanted to skip and none said no, that is one thing but how many wanted to set Berlin next and how many not?
Often ppl look which map follows before they decide so they expect that map to be next.

I too saw map changed many times from other admins. I think that this is not a thing to discuss, but I believe that map vote could help.

Vote system is not a good alternative, because it can be abused.
To skip a map, jump over to the map after that, so it doesn't mess map rotation or, for example, if you setnext Berlin, then fix map rotation when Berlin is being played, by using setnext to the map or the next after that map it was supposed to be played, before you changed to Berlin.

Just out of curiosity, why did u set berlin next? Why not just skip Ivo ( if that was wanted ) and let the normal map rotation go on?

The guys who said to skip ivo said that they want berlin. I didn't knew that berlin was already played . I said what i wanted to say,anyway it's first time that i skipped a map .

So it was first time u skipped a map...and u fucked up, basically... because u didnt know what was played recently and messed with map rotation

Come on Satinca, Bora was right to skip iwo jima, we were not many people playing at this moment if I remember well. If we had played on Iwo Jima many people would have certainly stopped playing and left the server. Then putting a smaller map than most of the maps that are in rotation on the server was a good idea. Nobody reacted when Bora offered to put Berlin.. It is ridiculous to blame it on him... In my opinion many maps should be removed from rotation. Make people vote about it and I'm pretty sure that most of people would prefer playing on maps like Wake, Berlin, bocage than playing on shitty maps such as guadalcanal, invasion of the philippines...
