Hi everyone and especially the technical Pro's here (I suspect tuia e.g.)
I am having an issue with mumble recently:
The program worked quite well together with BF1942 for a while before problems appeared.
When i start mumble now, the sound in BF1942 is completely gone, no music, no sounds and additionally bf freezes for at least 20 or 30 seconds, being extremely laggy afterwards. When i close mumble and restart BF everything is fine again, as long as i don't start mumble
I already tried to install older versions of mumble but no effect.
In some mumble forums i found out that my soundcard drivers (Soundblaster X-Fi Fatality platinum ed.) could be a problem with mumble if they are older version. So i updated them as well.
Finally nothing helped, so i give it a last try here or switch to teamspeak
Hope that some of you have some good suggestions.
Thanks

yes
Hi men
I can't remember how did I manage it, but I have divided all devices that are playing sound.
Now, when my BF1942 is opened, i can use function ALT+TAB to get to desktop and I use my Volume Mixer to adjust the sound for BF1942 and MUMBLE separately.
I hope it helps
Here is an image how it looks:
I set it to run the program as administrator

Oki, next idea.
Mumble has an option which makes the programs quietly when you speak in mumble. Is this the problem?
Or can we talk somewhere? Because i have mumble too and it works perfectly with BF1942.

Well honestly I uninstaled mumble several times & bf42 sound is not comming back I tottaly have no idea what could be wrong. MAybe it just overwrite some sound codex in wind7 system.. who knows maybe reinstaling win 7 will help

So you don't have bf1942 sound at all? With/without mumble??

IF I will install bf42 from ORIGIN .. my sound is back. But when I try to instal bf1942 from original CDs its missing ... I tryed even some pirate IMAGE of bf1942 added with my own keyhash. BUt still no bf1942 sound.I got this issue since summer at beggining mumble was lowering my ingame bf42 sound... than it gone for eternity ... I though it could be hardware issue but it wasnt since I send my laptop to technician.
My laptop is fooking ACER aspire 7730z... I already give up cos I know there is no solution
Hello all,
thank you all for the help and advice. Unfortunately it still doesn't work. I managed to get my soundsettings as Kobra suggested and it worked for a few minutes. But then the game froze again and sound was off.....
i switched ASIO and direct sound ....no effect
Nevermind dear supporters !
Let's wait and seee if someone else has a glue
