Requesting FPS Support!!!
Since yesterday i got heavy FPS breakdowns... when i open the scoreboard for example my fps drop by 20, when i run berlin coop 64players it jumps bewteen 36 at the lowest and 100 at the highest, depending where i am. Of course it breaks when i come to other player, some for onlinegaming but does anyone has an idea? It worked fine before, i think it is not really hardware-based because cpu&ram seem to run normal. I've tested it with the gpu & the nvidia card, gives me the same result.
Please help me :S
last night you were saying something about that your're not sure if your nvidia or intel card is used?
so are you sure your have monitor plugged to your nvidia card instead of the onboard intel one? (although even that should be probably fine to run this game)
i'd also disable onboard video in BIOS
Well, it's plugged to the Intel one but ye it should still be enough, i mean it worked good before!
I've "accidently" resetted the Notebook, at least ist Settings but Pictures and stuff are still there...
BF got uninstalled i think now i've installed it again but still the same! Not sure if it is a Hardware Problem after all?
oh, no idea why i thought it's a normal pc, not notebook, my bad
reinstalling the game won't probably help, try to reinstall nvidia drivers (i always sucked at remote troubleshooting, i need to see the problem in front of me ;-) )
Ssk if the connection of both is fast enough then the solution is teamviewer;)
Btw, the EA Games file is in the "Programs" folder or should it be in the "Programs(x86)" folder? I mean the game runs, i can also have 100fps when im on the carrier on midway for example but when i come into the battle it drops.
edit: it doesnt matter if 32 or 64 players, fps are the same :S

Just a question to it: Does it really matter in which folder you install a game? I mean is there a difference if I change direction in the installing setups for a 32 bit programm to the normal programm folder? I can not imagine that.
Hehe just searching on google would be too easy.
But to summarize the most important reason is just the order of the Hard Disk if I am not wrong.
do you run xfire while playing that has been known to cause problems
It doesnt matter if xfire is running or not.
Gonna get the notebook back today, they couldnt find a hardware problem?
Anyone knows something about compatibility problems with BF & win8(Updates)
It's Hard to believe that it is something like that but yea i just have to check it again i guess.
Edit: Can anyone Tell me about some program that runs the external HDD in some Kind of sandbox mode to check if it's clean and is there are 100% Security if i let avast&malwarebytes Check the external and they don't find anything?

Kobra, try to download and run Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool. As far as I know, Kaspersky Lab is one of the best companies who produce antiviral software. This Virus Removal Tool is for free but it's just an utility to scan and disinfect an infected computer from viruses, not a real-time antiviral software. Don't forget to choose your language before downloading.
Or try Slovak Antivirus NOD 32 ,....we just small country
http://www.eset.com/de/ u still can found trial licences for half year.Well go on web & just look for free userneme & password.Make sure u download correct version suitable for yo laptop
To your first question. I have totally no problems with bf and win8. I do not even need the compatibility mode.
There is just a small problems i can not switch from bf to desktop. Xfire etc., then it crashes but besides that i did not even had one single crash while playing.
Ye it was all Fine for me in the beginning too, DC, thats why i was so surprised and thought it could only be Hardware.
@sev, well yes but this happened: since BF wasnt running well, i wanted to Play smth Else and had to dl a program for .rar, i dl some program and it installed some sh!t like 'Pc optimizer pro' and 1 or 2 other Programs. At the Moment these Things were installed i had my external hd on. I was pretty pissed, deleted and uninstalled everything I / malwarebytes could find. After that i put the external on again to save the NVIDIA driver&nthe BF folder which was still on the pc. Now I'm a Bit worried that there might be something hidden on the external and it will infect my "New" pc, although i have checked the external with mb&avast and they both said that it is clean.
Hmmm that might be possible Kobri, I think that these anti virus programs sometimes do not detect every malware. Maybe it would be best to reinstall your Windows? I know it's not the best solution but maybe afterwards everything will be fine again.
The notebook was sent to Acer or whoever takes it to check/repair it. Hardware was fine and windows was reinstalled. The notebook itself should be fine but i worry about the external harddrive

I would save all your important data on that drive, then reformat it and one last time scan it for malware (if that's an option, since I don't know what you are using the external drive for or how much important stuff you saved on it).
Btw are your FPS values ok now when you play?
Well make it more simple, do you have the possibility to use a mac? If the hard disk has a virus, you would not have any problem with a mac and then you can check it
Okej kobraaaaaaaaaaaa next time just check your external hard disc pornography foldiers on another computer not laptop ; )))))) Or send ext-harddrive to me I will check the content for u
PS: IM not interested to check G.P.

Yeah, now that DC mentions it, you can also try a live CD to scan your external drive. Check these links out:

How exactly would that work? I know some with a MacBook, yes.
Well Sev i didnt Run the Notebook yet and to Play Bf i Need to put the external in the Laptop, thats my Problem ;D i mean i've checked it with mbam, avast& spybot. According to them the external is clean but i'm Afraid that These Programs might have infected some .exe or idk and it doesn't get detected. It was so damn stupid to get this shiet.
Oooh why dont you listen
Problem: external hdd was plugged in the Notebook while it got infected, i plugged it Out, deleted everything from the nb, plugged it in again and copied 2 or 3 things i thought i could Need when i get the nb back from "repair", e.g. NVIDIA driver exe & BF42 exe. Now the Nb is fresh but im worried that there might be something on the external although it i've checked it before and it Seems to be clean.
Well i would so it so: you copy the necessary files from the external to the mac, then check the files with kaspersky or intego virus barrier, then format the hard disk complete and after that just copy the files back to the hard disk, but maybe have also a look in the folders if you can see some strange file names etc.(btw i guess it also works with a computer running windows 98, but that is more rare than a mac :-p)
And finally to make it sure install kaspersky the trial version on your notebook before connecting with the external hard disk.
I guess then you should be sure that it is clean but i promise nothing
