im curious, does the mouse filtering windows' feature has influence to in-game mouse conduct?
for example in the counter strike, switching this feature may have significant effect on accuracy of aiming

you got it!:)

Mamba, do you have some special mouse setting tips? some of oldschool ppl say that they dont like USB and prefer to use PS/2 mouse interface on 300MHz, like it gives better precision, USB frequency also can be boosted by soft, and frequency of this set is to be a multiple value with the value of DPI of mouse. I'm not not really sure if this would have a real gain in a game like BF1942 though.

Re: Mouse acceleration

BF1942 doesn't support raw mouse input like Counter-Strike does. My perception of mouse pointer in BF1942 is that it is not smooth, it's sluggish and I can't get used to its acceleration.
You can tweak mouse settings in Windows to remove native mouse acceleration and you can also increase polling frequency of mouse in USB or PS/2 interface. But these tweaks seem to have no effect on BF1942.

i think PS/2 has earlier IRQ priority then USB, + i think they are fixed where different USB devices in many cases share the same IRQ

So, are you saying PS/2 mouse is better than USB mouse because it has earlier IRQ and is not shared? I thought IRQ assigning was history. tongue
