Yes i have patched the game to 1.61

and i extracted the map into "C:Program Files (x86)EA GamesBattlefield 1942"
and i still keep getting the error
please help i have been dying to play this over my battlefield 3

You have not updated to version 1.61, most certainly. You can check your version in the left bottom corner in the BF1942 menu

Ok in the corner it says that its version 1.6 D:
but i did download the 6mb patch for 1.61 why wont it update?

when i try to reinstal the 1.61 patch it says i already have it

please help me :'(

i also dont have punk buster installed

i also have Insert correct cd thingy 1.61

Download this package: http://team-simple.org/download/bf1942- … en-fix.zip
Extract it in your BF1942 directory, overwriting BF1942.exe and Mods folder. You now have version 1.61 and you can play without CD in drive.

sry to ask here tuia,but i also need some help,
ill soon need to upgrade my pc and as 1 of my cds are scrached, ill need to play without cd, so my question is, this is the solution?
i also see the name says widescreen, will it work normally on old not so much wide screens?

Yes, it works normally. If you use that modified executable you can play without CD in drive and you can play in correct widescreen mode, without the image being stretched sideways, if you change to a higher resolution, like 1920 x 1080.

The loading time take much longer with cd... i have my no cd crack from gamecopyworld.com

Yes, that's a good place to get the no cd executable, if you don't want the included widescreen fix.
