Download failed

So I was just downloading the Desert Combat mod for about 4 hours already... 20 mins left, I looked at the at the download screen it said download error. Then I looked for the download location, I saw an application, I clicked it, opened a black box (like the one in Cmd) for about a second then closes. Can anybody tell me how to fix this problem?

Your download is corrupt, you have to start it again. You should download large files with Free Download Manager, it speeds up and can resume your broken downloads.
