i agree that this antiterrorist craze is getting out of hands (well, not really, i believe governments love this and they also love idiots who blow some people here and there and provide justification for it)

on the other hand, if i met a muslim in bus reading anarchist's cookbook, i would probably ask when and where should i not be to stay safe and alive tongue

i think mein kampf is banned here (well, actually not the book per se, just the selling of it is considered a propagation of fascism (or could be challenged at court due to this reason)), does it mean something?

If the UK wants to arrest someone for having a book, then whatever. It's pretty dumb. I'll just sit here and read The Catcher in the Rye and listen to the gun shots outside while I eat my bacon smile

And why Cuba can't then act like UK and send people to prison for book?

I'm reading now "Brave new world" of Aldous Huxley, surprisingly it is also on the list of prohibited :-)

Re: Syria

Because arresting someone for a book about making bombs and throwing someone in prison for 5 years for a book about music is completely different.

Thought that was pretty obvious.

Sorry, but I highly doubt that report, especially considering that Cuba is such a musical country. That's like getting in prison for playing BF1942 *lmao*

I don't believe it.

Re: Syria

The USA arrested Justin Carter just because he posted some bullshit on his FB wall... for one joke he has to be in prison for 6 month and now they sued him because of a "terror threat" up to ten years.

Me too. It's like being a public enemy or a rapist like Manning or Assange, if you publish something about war crimes. Something is wrong. wink

That's fine, you don't have to believe it. What happened 20 or 30 yrs ago probably doesn't happen anymore.

Yesterday I heard on the news that the U.S. is preparing to inflict strikes on military related subjects in Syria. It looks like Obama again Butthurt. Russia did not give him Snowden and he went to extreme measures.
