Hi all,
I had to replace my notebook and now I am in trouble with video settings. As my new notebook has a 1366x768 resolution, I've tried the widescreen fix (editing video.con file etc.) but the game still mantains the wrong resolution.
If someone of you uses a 1366x768 res display, I'd ask a little favour: to email me a copy of his modified profiles folder.
Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad English

Download this file: bf1942-v1.61-nocd-widescreen-fix.zip
Follow instructions included in simple.txt file and you are good to go. Choose your favorite resolution from the in-game Video menu.
2Sociopatico, easy way to solve your problem.
1) Make a new profile (don't use default)
2) Go to X:EA GAMESBattlefield 1942Modsf1942SettingsProfilesyour profile (where X - letter of your disk) and open file Video.con in notepad.
3) Find string "game.setGameDisplayMode" and put 1366 768 32 60 instead default.
4) Save the file, close and run game. Menu not be on 1366x768, but when you join to any server, resolution will be ok.

Actually there's no need in it since new widescreen fix (tuia's link) allows you to set any typical resolution in game options.

I didn't know about tuia's fix before and wrote, how I put resolution which I need.
