My Mates!

I have a new idea for the custom map server.

Maps: some maps, for example 8 maps.
We will collect these maps. Fun maps, beautiful maps for example:

Stonehenge, Remagen, Border War, (maps from nbn custom server if it is possible)... etc.
If it is necessary, we will mod these maps for the community.

Events: we should organize some events to make this server popular.

Download: after we choose these maps, let's make an exe file. So the players can download and install it very easily.

Idea for the maps: download link and some pics maybe to decide.

What do you think?

Hey! Thanks for your ideas. We'll probably reduce the new maps to these nine, for now:

Battle for Korsun SE
Dukla Pass
Giza
Kasserine
North Sea Docks
Nuenen
Operation Forager
Reichsbahn
UN Ihantala

Because these maps were played in BF1942.ru New Maps server, some players already have them installed. I've tested creating a custom installer with these 9 maps and the size is about 150 MB, which is considerably smaller than previous custom mappack size 600 MB. I need to tweak the installer and will finish it most certainly this weekend.
I have collected all these maps for review, some were left out although they seemed good to me (e.g., Remagen and Russlandsturm), because they weren't picked in BF1942.ru New Maps or they were too big (Tigerpass and Corsica):

Nice maps.
I will search some in my map collection.
But there are some from NBN custom, which are not in the list:
Senno
Operation Mallard
Operation Warpath
KurskayDuga
Inkerman II

I think after the main 9 maps, we can make a 2nd exe with 9 more.

I liked these maps.

I could not find those maps to download, so did not include them. Yes, we can create another custom mappack after the other.

I think, yes.
Mino, if we use almost the same maps for this server as they were in nbn.custom, they can come to play, beacuse they already have it.

Feel free to discuss here an event day for New Maps. What day and time would suit most players? It should be played no more than an hour, two or three maps maybe. Then please sign up for event day, to see how many will join.

Everyone is invited to join. It's easy to install new maps, download new maps installer, run it and then you can join server.
