Re: Battlefield 1942 game play recorder

FHSW he said - great news again. recorded some fhsw rounds a week ago - that fhsw-europe pack put a roadblock to it. if im correct, it brings mixed things from bf1918 into the regular fhsw installation.

Re: Battlefield 1942 game play recorder

Great timing I am doing the Europe maps at the moment. It takes a ton of manual testing to look for imperfections, but I have the first 10, I'll push them up shortly. If you know what maps you recorded on I'll do them next so I can view them in the replayer.

Re: Battlefield 1942 game play recorder

I think we are asking a bit too much right now in terms of mod support. We should already be grateful skandia made his awesome recorder program work in the base game and the expansions.

FHSW in general is a mess in terms of mod dependencies and objects borrowed from other mods, so no wonder it’s not working correctly. The mod itself should be cleaned up a bit before making it compatible with the recorder.

Let’s be a bit reasonable here with our expectations:)

Re: Battlefield 1942 game play recorder

Thanks chief, I've changed the website so you can upload the recordings even if that mod / map isn't supported yet. The recordings are valuable testing data for me.

I've just uploaded a heap of FHSW Europe maps (I already had the same version you linked). It's not all of them, there are SO many big_smile But I plan to extract them all over the next few days.

And don't worry about me Black, if people are using the system that works for me.

I tried watching the video on my IPhone but the map loads on a loop and I can’t watch the actual recording. Any idea why that might be?

EDIT: I can watch the recording on my desktop.

Re: Battlefield 1942 game play recorder

The lastest macos version of this game has also debug symbols, perhaps thats still useful for decompiling client side stuff that is't in linux server executable

I was not aware of this, thanks. The Linux server binary is compiled with debug symbols which has been the most helpful.

I have been building an extensive reference of the retail client and the sub-systems here if anyone interested https://github.com/sila-skandia/bfstats … -reference
