Problems with screen resolution

I know there are some threads about this but some are hard to follow have been playing BF on my laptop for a year no problems suddenly having screen resolution issues if I dont use 800x600x32 @ 60 and the screen looks really crappy any quick fixes I looked at the video and video default areas and they are custom for the HD program and help would be appreciated

PS wiped my computer clean and downloaded new programs of the game
