Why the Philippines map was removed?

Hello.

Maps are supposed to be chosen democratically, so why has the Battle of the Philippines map been removed from the options? I don't think I'm the only one who likes that map, and if a majority of players want to play it, why shouldn't they be able to? I personally don't miss the Battle of the Coral Sea map, which was also removed, but I do miss the Philippines map because it's entertaining and offers different scenarios to play in.

If the maps can be selected by vote, it doesn't make sense to remove any from the list.

Restore coral as well, drastically increase objective hp of coral and Britain so the maps actually last, sinking carriers in coral, or britain radar defenses, factories should not be any small matter, as such to the point where there should be at least a final 10 minutes before its over

Re: Why the Philippines map was removed?

The Coral and Great Britain maps are fine; the problem with those maps is that players don't repair, especially in the Battle of Britain. I've seen that map won by players who repair the factories, and in fact, the map used to have a version where you could pick up the equipment of a dead player, allowing you to repair continuously and constantly changing outfits. This prevented the equipment from disappearing after a few seconds, making it impossible for the German team to win. With the current version, it's possible to win, but the British players have to coordinate and repair the radars and factories, and whenever possible, do so before pilot a plane, but that almost never happens.

No its almost impossible to win now because there's not enough engies by default, you cant get enough of a whole ass team to do it unless there's in excess of 25 on a team, but the main factor here is axis pilots are mainly too experienced to the point of rapidly doing in the objectives, there's too many of those collectively hitting them in a game, meaning the objective HP must go up and besides, its Britain, it shouldn't be in axis favor or even balanced, it should be in allied favor massively as was the history, meaning axis needs to actually push hard, work for it, virtually no map aside from Caen offers this challenge

The game limitations do not allow hitpoints to be altered.
if that were possible, I'd give Destroyer2 the same as Destroyer1.

An update for Britain was ready a long time ago.  It should help slow things down.
But tuia is AWOL, so it's irrelevant.

Why don't you repair objectives instead of carpet bombing red base MerliN?

Radio towers, factory and air carriers are individual objects in map files. Thus, hp could be easily tweaked in corresponding objects' inits.

Re: Why the Philippines map was removed?

Yesterday we played the Battle of Britain scenario and the Allies won. Several players were repairing the factories. That said, I'll ask again what I said at the beginning: why has the Battle of the Philippines scenario been removed?
