Was I banned?

So, was I banned for some reason I don't know? Or is there some other kind of error?
Because when I try to join a game, I just get the message "ERROR. Unable to connect to the server," and nothing else. It doesn't say if I'm banned. It hasn't happened just once; I've been trying to play many times since yesterday and haven't been able to. Thanks.
