The last time I saw Frenchy was 6 months ago. He stopped attending Aberdeen regularly leading up to then. He talked of cancer. He was a veteran player, and was in his mid 70s. BF1942 has lost one of or perhaps it's oldest player. I would like to pay tribute to him. Frenchy loved Aberdeen. He wasn't the best in a tank and was more often found as infantry defending a flag. This he did with dogged determination. He was good at laying traps and sneaking up on an enemy tank in a fearless way. At the age he was, he is an inspiration to carry on playing BF1942. Frenchy, I salute you! You were a true warrior.
Rest in peace , dear Frenchy.
It was nice for me been exploded on his 10 xpax in one pile, or when he put 5 mines on my tank, then go far away fearing an explosion, but not noticing that he’s alrdy in radius of my tank mg , was cute to watch him just walk towards to you from sides or back, been sure that you couldn't see him, often I didn't even kill him, just sweetly looked at his moving , how he puts 5 mine on my tank , how put 800 xpax, on city flag pole, then go in ammo house to hide , when i was figured that he’s so old, I often let him kill me, given him rejoice to kill
I think we’ve an older player named klausvon dudenhofen he’s 75 or 76

Guess I have to step up... will be 75 on 10/6
This is sad news. I liked Frenchy. When I would suddenly explode in the middle of Aberdeen nowhere, I knew it was Frenchy or Bat.
Sepp, How did you find out Frenchy had passed? I know you wanted to find him since he'd been missing for a long time and then he appeared for a short while and then disappeared again.
BTW I will be 75 in February..... HBD Maj

You are a true gentleman- It is so nice to see a skilled player use restraint- and allow others to have a chance for a enjoyable game.

Sadly we are all getting older- I just turned 60. I'm too old to play newer games, my reflexes are to slow, and the games are too complicated- I don't want to spend endless hours trying to figure out what my player looks like, or what he will wear in battle.
I seem to remember Frenchy also played on the Oz Wake server also- he was a good player, and always played fairly. may he rest in peace.

Thx, do this from time to time, when the game gets boring, I let myself be killed by those who are quite inexperienced here: move slowly or one-sided, not prone not crouch. If a person seems cute to me, I rarely kill him.

RIP Frenchy a truly great guy! Always a pleasure to see him on the BF.
It´s always strange to see players we know for quite some time passing, many we dont know personally or even seen in person, but they are part of our life somewhat and losing them indeed truly hits. Hope all stay safe here and in good health. Even in our differences and dislikes with one another and endless bickerings at the end this is just a game (we all love). Hope this community sticks together until the last guy standing. HF GL.
Well spoken, Lecter.
That's very unfortunate. Frenchy was an old time Tanks a lot veteran, let's shoot some zooks in air on Aberdeen for him.
Btw this reminds me about ROGER THAT, regular player and admin from RtR+SW server who found out to have cancer and from who we didn't have news in a while.. I just hope he is still fighting.
He'll be laying xpacks in heaven. (His heaven). Watch out!
To Frenchy and all those who have fallen from the 'battlefield'.
R.I.P.
Puts our petty differences into perspective. (Well said Lecter).
Why would he be laying xpacks in haven lol
Didn't know Frenchy, seems was a nice guy, hope he in peace and doesn't do xpacks or struggle to connect or other 1942 thing)

As you said he went missing, in the brief period after that when I did see him he told me he had cancer. Knowing his age and condition it's not something you come back from. I have waited a decent time to announce this in case of miracles.
Thank you for passing this on and also for waiting and respecting Frenchy's privacy. I'll miss him.
aaa sad news ......condolences to all
