Banned, I guess?

Heyo, so I'm not entirely sure why I'm banned - I know it happened some time ago but I can't imagine what I could've done, so if it wasn't something I may have accidentally did against your terms or something could I get that changed please?

What name were you using when you were banned?

What is the message you get? Does it say you are banned or is it something else?

The name was 5150. I dont get a direct ban message but when connecting, instead of the bar loading it waits about 8 seconds then disconnects. I know this means a ban because on the great escape i got banned by the auto swear bot a long time ago and now when i connect it says the same thing.

Honestly it may have been some light swearing here too lol, im not sure. I never knew servers had swear filters - but at the same time as i mentioned im still not 100% that was the issue here

How long is "some time ago" because the server's IP changed awhile ago.

Are you connecting to bf1942.team-simple.org:14567 or 37.187.92.162:14567 ?

Just tried again, just says "failed to connect to server" and doesnt show any progress on the connecting loading bar. It doesnt behave like poor connection or internet, otherwise i wouldnt have been able to consistently play in the past

EDIT: sorry didnt realize there was a chat cooldown here. i connect to whatever one shows up in the server browser and shows players online

Ban expert here. Long wait followed by "failed to connect" = ip range ban. Immediate" failed to connect" message = ip ban. "Banned from server" = cd key ban. "Kicked from server" can be things like vpn, banned words in player name etc or if your ip is treated like a vpn for some reason. If the server shows 9999 that can also mean a ban in some cases but it's usually a problem on your end.
Most of these 'errors' have an easy fix but I suggest contacting an admin first for amateurs.

Downloaded it and no luck, still failed to connect to server. I can't join any of the simple servers - it's not just one of them. It doesn't show me anywhere in the ban list?

EDIT: Didnt see the last message sent. It literally just says failed to connect to server. No ban message or anything else. theres a wait before the connection bar starts then it says that. I can connect to other servers (besides one i know i was kicked for language from), but yeah

You forgot to mention the hardware ban, the most recent stage of the ban. Most often to the ID of the network card, but unique minds can also touch the hard drive.
