I've played on many other systems, including a Windows 10 machine with no prior issues.
First time installing on a new Windows 10 machine, 64-bit. Installed through EA, but then found the patch (to 1.6.20).
The problem - it loads, finds servers, joins. Shows the map to spawn. However, after spawn point selected, I can hear that I'm spawned, but video stays on the map. I can actually shoot and hear what's going on around, but again, video doesn't change from map.
I tested on single player/campaign to rule out multiplayer issue, but that didn't change a thing. Same issue. I tried running the app in Compatibility mode for Windows 7.
Any ideas?
Phew that's a funny one!
Seeing as no-one else has made any suggestions I'll give you my tuppence worth.
Have you looked at your graphics card settings? Maybe something amiss. (Not in full screen mode or something like that).
Maybe update graphic drivers/windows updates.

I would suggest re-installing the game using the above link/download.
All patches are included.
Good luck!
Download dgVoodoo2 latest stable version, then extract and place d3d8.dll and dgVoodoo.conf files in your Battlefield 1942 directory. This will probably solve all those graphic glitches.
You can also test crosire's d3d8to9 latest release. Download it and put d3d8.dll inside your Battlefield 1942 directory.
Thanks guys - I will definitely try those suggestions!
