Please comment with your feedback below if you like to participate and describe your experience during blind test and whether it was different compared to your regular gameplay on SiMPLE. That will help us to find out optimal settings and solutions for the server, cheers!

Just played on Kharkov and Market Garden. Looks like the damage done by infantry weapons has been increased.
That's a good thing. It always felt silly to shoot 2 or 3 rifle bullets in someone's torso and still see the guy running around...
Kill fast, die quickly, maybe this will result in a more prudent and thoughtful way of playing.
We are having ping problems, used to happen to some but now we all do. Latency is really high and we have to reconnect several times to fix it.
The server seemed to be low on population but i had a great time, i hope others did as well

I appreciate the effort, but who asked for this?

I did.
OK it's all over Now. simplе died, now 5 people are playing.
What's with the negativity? Everyone should enjoy 2-3 bullet kills and complete domination over other players... oh wait, it doesn't work that way. Well at least tuia thinks it does so it's ok
HiHo!
My first observations:
1, Worse regs for me, than before.
But interestingly bad. You know i am not the best infantry at all, but most of the time i felt, i shot with 150 ping, instead of my 35-40 ping.
2, Noname/beginner players from china, vietnam, australia, algeria, brasil ... etc had much better regs with their high ping (150-200+). Maybe russians too.
3, Maybe the planes are easier to destroy.
4, Lags often makes the game unplayable. For me, mostly when i play inf in close combat.
Everything's the same for me, I didn't notice any difference compared to my previous games.
Worse for me, thinking about giving the game up at this point.
Why not allow everyone to use VPN? it seems my computer is out of sync with the server, tried all my settings. No use, movement seems sluggish and just not right.
Unless people are standing still killing them becomes just pure luck. Often the killing shot appears to be actually no where near them, they just accidently get hit and die. This is with a 20ish ping too.
Yet I get hit and killed in 2 shots, constantly. Although I have noticed some people trying to shoot me with the same issue as me.
Maybe network lag my end? I'm not sure but it's very frustrating shooting an entire clip at some ones back, then them turning around and shooting you with a colt in two shots.
That is the automatic reasoning reaction your mind does. After all it is the same game and server you've been playing on for years, so it must be something on your end. Without enough information it completely makes sense that you think that way.
Imagine there is always 20 degrees outside but one day it is 18, except no one else says anthing about it. You feel it but since you get no other sources/people confirm it, you will make up in your head that it's you who is wrong.
That's kind of how this is now with simple.
Go to moongamers and I guarantee you will not die with 2 bullets, a simple test that should wake you up and bring you closer to the truth

I noticed that too, interesting. Well, that sounds like a good leveled playing field, where everyone can get kills. Skill is toxicity.
Played on Wednesday, I think.
I have also issues with hitreg.
Would say "more than usual"
Ping feels higher and it goes for inf and planes.
Would be fun if they actually didn't make any changes and all of this is pure placebo.

Would be, but it's not. We decided to collect players feedback before we install any mods on servers - also because many asked for it; right now there is a potential patch we are testing that may improve FPS and make game experience better but Tuia needs to find out if it works or not. We will inform you guys once we get enough feedback to be able to conclude about effects of this change - whether it gives benefits or not. Form of blind test was chosen exactly to eliminate the placebo effect: no premeditated conclusions and bias-free feedback.
With all of this being said, the blind test will continue this weekend - today and tomorrow. This time we kindly ask you guys to play in these two days if you have a chance and to describe whether you felt difference between playing on saturday vs on sunday and if yes which day was better. That will also tell us whether keep this mod on server or not. Thanks!
So, did you notice any difference on Saturday or on Sunday? If you noticed, which day did you prefer? Or was it all the same?
Added a poll to the first post, if you prefer to give your feedback that way.
My subjective experience
Saturday (plane and inf):
Morning and noon - smooth server, nice hits
Evening - less smooth, regular hitreg
Sunday (plane and inf):
Afternoon and evening - worse hitreg, strange bullet hits. I was aiming close to person and still got a hit on him. (As if bullets have splash damage or smth).

I only half of bulge and half of caen on Saturday. I have no complaints.
I played nearly a full round of caen today (Sunday) and it was fine. It seemed that maaaayyybee regs were slightly diff (worse), but I was also using the johnson lmg a lot, which I don't use often.
Thank you for the feedback, there is no right or wrong, anyone may have differing opinions. The test will be repeated again this weekend, same settings as before on Saturday and on Sunday. If you have the time to play, please pick on which day you preferred to play or if you noticed no difference.
For decades the servers worked fine, with hit registration being the last subject of discussion. It's the recent experience, that people have seem to have disliked. I doubt aX ran any "reg mods" to have such clean hit registration. The best regs i've had, have been in quality servers, clean of any mods, usually German servers.
This kind of approach is questionable at best. How could anyone give feedback to something that is not done with transparency?
One day something was done, another day something was done or maybe not done at all. People have unstable connections to the server, different computers and infrastructure around their block. All this could give a different experience for a player each day.
To me it sounds like a plan to get people to play, which should actually be the main goal. But instead there is this huge secrecy.
Where did this discussion start anyway? Would it even be a topic if the reg shenanigans wasn't brought up by us, which at first was called ''negativity'' by some people. Yet here we are, something was done to the server way before anyone could even think about it, even the head admins didn't know about it and the population was declining fast.
Perhaps give players the name of each mod/change and what it is supposed to improve and name the date it will be turned on. So far this has just been a rabbit chase without any concrete evidence. I'm surprised it didn't occur to anyone.
We don't need a list of changes. please keep them private (the less some people know the better).

Most ridiculous thing I've read on this forum lately. If you wish that you either don't play this game or just want SiMPLE to die cause that's what is gonna happen if someone puts unknown mods that may negatively change player's experience on server without them being properly tested and without even considering player's opinion on that. What keeps this game alive are the players and you would really want to just shit on them?
I am really glad Tuia is not only investing huge amounts of time and effort to improve the things on SiMPLE, but even more the fact that he listens to community feedback and genuinely cares about the players. We as admin team do our best to deliver input from players and discuss potential solutions with Tuia.
Latest changes are based almost entirely on players feedback; things that we found out not beneficial or that may have affected the gameplay negatively are being removed, like one of patches that apparently was one of the causes of game freezes, "slow game" visual effects and unstable hitreg - check how game became smoother after that; compared to a few months ago it's qute a difference and it's a new breath of air, especially for infantry players. I dare you guys to test it for yourselves - you may find your game smoother, more dynamic and with less freezes. I also have a feeling reg is more consistent for me and I hear several players telling the same - things are improving and we all should be glad they are.
We do not fear critics; we actually need it to improve - as long as its constructive of course. Transparency with mods and server settings allows us to understand what works and what doesn't, what players like and what they don't. It's a win-win situation. We have a lot to work on as there is still a problem with bad routing many players are experiencing and overall server quality is probably not the best - but these issues will be solved once we will be ready to complete the move to a new, more stable and secure server.

I agree. If I haven't made the mistake to tell the estonian brothers about a mod, they would never notice it and make a drama about this.
This is unrelated but I miss the Tournaments page, as I recall it was disabled due to a security risk but it would be cool to have it back
