Ok, they have some sources for this.
They used a worldwide Network of Seismographs withing 10 years and found matching occurrences.

Hmm... could be a decaying vibration from a past heavy event, ... gravity waves or who knows.
Perhaps the reason why the world is spinning faster, then it should since some years? (Instead of spinning slower.)

Because it's not possible to measure the world own shaking with a Seismograph.
You can compare this network of Seismographs with measure your coordinates on a ship with a pendulum clock, like they did it before 1759.
You never know, if, what you write down is right or not and usually it never was.
