BF1942 Minimizing

Hello all,
I just wanted to play BF1942, but it keeps on minimizing automatically. I restarted my PC. Googled the issue and tried out a few tricks but none worked. I don't know if its relevant, but the last thing I did was edit the .con file for widescreen, but that was quite a while ago..
Another major thing I did on the PC was, install VMware.

Kindly help, I just wanted to play one last time.

Did you set Admin Mode to Blackscreen.exe too?

OS is windows 7 SP1

You installed it in a separate folder and not in ProgramFiles(x86). If not, you should.

And set "blackscreen,exe" compatibility to windows 7 or XpSp3, also Bf1942.exe.

If it's minimizing only...

1. Did you touch Windows-Key?

2. Some notification activated on Desktop?

3. There are some tools which can be responsable for minimizing Games:

GameBooster, MsiAfterburner, (some other GraficCardTuningTool) or TPLinkWirelessClientUtility, (TWCU.exe in TaskManagerProcesses, perhaps all Users), and also some other tools.

it's minimizing only
1. no
2. probably not
3. other soft wares Installed are vmware, teamviewer, IPMsg, f.lux, NetBalancer 9.4.1
Its a Thinkpad T410 with all its drivers software, with ESET SS 8 and MBAM 2.2

If it minimizes to Desktop it has to be some notification message from a tool or programm which forces focus.

Search once the Eventviewer after it happend or just stopp every other unused programm before you start playing.

Btw. > Stop unneeded Services, (Stop them in Services and change the starting priority to manual), like Teamviewer. When you start Teamviewer, the service will start then and stop when you stop Teamviewer. Do the same with other services from tools you need not allways.

Well its mysterious !
yesterday I set TV service to manual, and it worked ! I got all happy !
But, today to my surprise, it started minimizing again !
So I said f@k it and just edit fullscreen=0 in videodefault.con file.
Now I play in windowed mode, no minimizing issue with it !

Happening to me recently since days, didn't do any modifications or something to desktop. It minimize, i open it again and again to desktop (like three tries) till i'm able to join well. Not solved yet.

if u recently installed something like antiviruses, then try to disable them while playing

I have an antivirus from a long time ago and i've never had any problems. Imma check recent changes but still weird.

Uninstall the game, install it again.
This may help, especially if the problems came suddenly and out of nowhere.
