New joystick

Well after the last windows 10 update, my outdated Microsoft sidewinder 2 joystick no longer recognized by laptop. Would like joystick recommendations for playing bf1942 {and others}..Please bear in mind I need a true joystick style(not gamepad) as I use one hand only. Thanks in advance......

PS if anyone knows how to get my old one working again, that would be great also

Best joystick imo... with ingame option "Keyboard sensitivity" you can change the sensitivity of your joystick. I have the lowest.

You're welcome! I grew up with joysticks, but the other generation with controller. This is why many don't like joysticks.

This one was really hard to break... almost like the nokia 3310.

Well, thanks for all the examples, but what my dumb ass just needs is  a new brain!!  After rebooting with the joystick plugged in... it worked
